Earl and Darren Live Now on 4 Pocket Table

Sorry, for some reason I assumed it is Darren VS Earl playing, Friday blues :)
 
You'd think players of this standard would be able to find a decent proper table with six pockets on it to play their match.

I think so too. Maybe Earl will surprise us, but based on my observations it looks like 2 less pockets is going to make the game more tactical and less offensive. That doesn't seem to be to Earl's advantage.

dont forget earl plays better than decent one hole and he's ran over 400 balls in 14.1........

so i dont necessarliy agree with your statement johnny :)

plus if anyone has to bring the come with stroke....guess whos packing that to the 9th degree lol

i think it will become more offensive
 
Just playing devils advocate here, but you could argue that with two less pockets mistakes are less likely to leave chances.

Also, the most common scratch on the break is the side pocket.

i can not colin......i just feel it in the force lol.....

i can not disagree with your statement, but i think outside of that its going to be really wide open....banks and many shots you normally woulndlt take will be open.

fine line there, fine line.

sort of like how yes one pocket is much more defensive than 9 ball.....but sometimes.....you see one pocket be more offensive than 9 ball....

just more thinking of the situation with the particular players at hand....

i'm goiing by feel on this one lol.....so i could be completely full of it lol
