He is shooting strong.
Should be a fun final and a study in contrast between Earl & Jeremy.

I'm happy for Earl, but this really a piss poor field compared to most years. Johnnyt

Johnny, piss poor might be a little strong, no Archer or SVB but still fairly respectable, multiple HOFers. Been quality pool thruout...

What was the score of the Corr/Stricland match. Did she keep it close? As much as I hate Earl I have to admit he's playing really well this year. Just imagine what he could do if he was right between the ears?!
:scratchhead:
I don't know why people don't like Earl....
I'm guessing you are young and never knew of him in the 1980's and 90's.
I don't know of any player that is more active and more involved in pool.
And it's been this way longer than anyone else.
Without Earl, the sport would really be boring.
You need to watch him more lately.

He's more popular than all the players because people "like to love him," and "love to hate him"......controversy sells and most entertainment producers know and understand this at a very high level.
That's why the thought of "cleaning up pool" is so ludicrous, the objective should be to create an image for pool that sells....and this "new" image should be strategically groomed and implemented by marketing professionals, not pool promoters. 'The Game is the Teacher'
I've watched him thru his entire career and he's always been a headcase.

Shane and Johnny are missing, but so are Mika Immonen, Jayson Shaw, and Darren Appleton. Johnny T is right --- this is a much weaker field than what is usual at Turning Stone, and it's all because the event coincided with the World Cup of Pool
