Having been down 4-1 to Hu, Earl now leads 7-4 after running 3 racks.

He's playing great!!
 
many likely disagree but IMHO Earl to this day "is" one of the best pool players on the planet from a "shooting ability" standpoint, he has not lost much of his ability from a physical standpoint and loses most of his matches due to his lack of mental strength and focus.

Earl is still up there with the top players in the world, even at his age. If he can keep his thoughts together and his composure, he has the knowledge and ability to beat ANYBODY in the WORLD.

He used it twice in a single match too!!

But after both times he complained about jump cues. :rolleyes:
 
Earl's open wins would include at least one in each of the last four decades...

Earl's wins would include at least one in each of the last FOUR decades if he manages to make this one or any of the next 5 number six....

He had two in the 80's, two in the 90's, one in 2000 and this would make one in the 2010's...

I think Earl has had a jump cue for a while now. I remember seeing him use it on a stream from Steinway I think several months ago. If you can't beat em join em.
