Earl Shane II

I'd love to see a rematch at IceBreakers on a Brand New Diamond 10'er!

What makes the Diamond such a great table? I mean, it's not like the table magically morphed to be more difficult for Shane. They both played on that table and had hours to practice on it beforehand as well. There should be no excuses

Earl made it look easy and beat shane handily!

wow

Earl said get Shane up on the real professional table, the 5 x 10, and he will blister that butt again.

and you said the loser gets a 2nd set on a 9 footer! so when u puttin up the post money? and blister huh i think between both sets svb has 183 games and earl has 163 games so if earl blisterd svb, then svb tortured earl the first time! but then he agreed to go to earls room on earls table with earls rules and if we lost we asked for a 2nd set on a 9 footer and you agreed! well mike?

I'm not making excuses. Im about 45min. from icebreakers so I'd go watch again.
And the reason I say the diamond 10'er set up by kingcobra is that way thier will be no excuses for a Gaffed table by the loser. It doesn't have to be a diamond though.
But I do agree with a 10'er again.

I hope you are treated with a little dignity in the future after posting up your hard-earned dough, so that the masses can be entertained. I'm sure there are some railbirds, like myself, who appreciate your efforts. :)

It leaves a sick feeling in one's stomach when you pour your heart and soul into an endeavor only to be kicked in the teeth down the road. Some folks in the pool world have selective memories.

When you're winning, everybody is your friend, as long as you offer an opportunity for others make money; thereafter, though, you end up the doormat and the butt of jokes, sometimes by the very ones you've helped in the past.

Bottom line -- and I'm sure you know this -- don't ever forget who you are. I wish you much future success and opportunities to capitalize on *your* assets.

Very well said and I agree 100%. Thanks Mike for putting together a great match. Good luck to you in all your endeavors.

Jennie, we fans appreciate what Earl and his backers put together. Earl came with it and surprised everyone. But we only got half the show. The other half should be played as was agreed on.

Frankly I don't see what Earl is afraid of. He said he was sick the first time he played Shane, he beat Shane on the 10 footer and then followed up by beating Johnny on the 9 footer.

He doesn't have to be the under dog against Shane on the 9 footer. But this ducking that Mike G is doing is kind of unfair to the fans and to Shane's backers.

John, Earl hasn't said one word about being afraid of Shane on this forum. It's all speculation and barking that I'm reading by interested parties who want to see a future match.

I don't believe Mike G. is ducking, but he has the right to announce an arrangement that is comfortable for him and his player if he's putting up his $10,000. At any rate, that's how I see it. I don't think he should be goaded into doing anything. When the time comes, he will make his move, but it's his call.

Now, if somebody on this thread wants to post up that 10 dimes and Earl to play Shane on another table, then that's another story. All those who want to post 10 dimes for this match to happen immediately, please post and say "aye." But by all means, put your money where your mouth is immediately. :grin-square:

[Crickets.]

Of course, there's nothing wrong with crickets. It's a delicacy in some places!

All is know is Earl played his ass off and he is the best...

...on a heated 10foot table with 860 on the bed and 760 on the rails and a 70inch cue.

I will definately be buying this set on DVD. Can't wait.

Is there a reason why he wanted 860 on the bed and 760 on the rails?

So what r u saying when two sides make an agreement its ok for one side to pull out and void the agreement, just because they r satisfied with the results from the 1st part of the agreement and never intended to honor the 2nd part of the agreement! yea i know there r alot of agreements going on here in my post but i dont claim to b very smart!

Was there a date certain established in a written contract between the two parties, or was it sine die?

Therein lies the answer!

I am still waiting for the Earl/Shane DVD package from Action Report. It is a 9 DVD set with the entire race and interviews. I apologize for the delay to all the people that have called me for the match. I have been told by Action Report that I would have them soon.

I wouldnt mine haven that dvd but unfortunately i dont know how to get a hold of one.To bad that they dont have it on blueray,it would be a hell of alot clearer.

I don't know what was agreed on before the Ice Breaker match
But I'm pretty sure if Shane & his backers set up a 10-ball
Match on a 9'er for $25K winner take all Earl wouldn't back out.
