He said it while Earl was out of the room on break. But it was led on by the announcers. He didn't just say it out of the blue.

I see, kind of like asking him, "How well do you expect/want to do against Earl?"

It seemed out of character for him to take a microphone and say "I'm gonna beat Earl by 30 games!"

Grady just said he consoled a family yesterday who was yelled at by Earl. He told the family to just pretend Earl is saying "have a nice day" if it happens again.

I agree 100%. This is the reason why I did not subscribe. This result of this match-up was just too predictable. What kind of action challenge is this that instead of people betting on who will win, it is about by how many games Earl will lose? No thrill or excitement at all. It is actually sad to see Earl get beaten like this.

Who do you want to see SVB match up against for the next 'action challenge'?

Yes, it was something like that. In fact, the announcers were the ones who first mentioned a number.
