"Wheatatidus Maximus" the silent reputation killer

this guy is starting sound VERY familier to another cuemaker who's no longer with us.... maybe they shook hands and Jeff Eason now has a bad case of "Wheatatidus Maximus" you know that horrible disease that keeps you from taking responsibility for ANYTHING having to do with your own product. I believe is causes dillusional thinking and hallucinations about people buying your cues, "tampering" with them and then selling them to others as new cues, causing reputational harm and discomfort :D

No offense to anyone but Id never buy from anyone who has such a reputation. Especially pay extra because it would be a custom cue...
 
I bought a cue from Jeff about 2 months ago. When I bought it the shaft needed the insert replaced. I had the cue shipped to him to be fixed (for free) and a second shaft made. I recieved the cue and both shafts play great. Is a Gina or Scruggs? No but it is a great playing sneaky pete that I am currently playing with. Jeff is making a good cue and is learning on the way. I had a great transaction with him (answered all my questions and returned all my calls very quickly.)

I am not belittling those of you who have had problems with Jeff, i have no idea, he may have screwed you over. However, i recently bought a cue form Jeff, the price was right!!! Like the above poster said, it isnt a scruggs etc, BUT i cant afford those cues, so i bought his. Is plays nice and looks nice. Again, im not saying he didnt have past problems, he may have, but i beleive it should be said that MY transaction with him was fast, and smooth. Props to him my OUR transaction.

Seen this scenario before !!!!!

At this point, Jeff needs to SUCK IT UP and stand behind his product.

If he doesn't and he continues with excuses, he is DEAD (not literally).

It will cost him some time and money, but it will give him the chance to salvage his reputation.

I have nothing to suck up (as you put it Russ) I have always said I would take care on any problems on any of my cues.Buying it new from me are 2nd. hand.If thet dont send it to me ,I cant do anything.Butch(The King) is upset and it has nothing to do with AZ and im dont think it need to said here on this form are any other. I do hope he get everything taken care of with himself and his family. I will no long post in this thread after this. Jeff Eason

ive read this in this thread a couple times now and what you really need to do is be a man and stand behind the work you've already put out. just do the right thing and quit acting like that tool eddie wheat!

I got no problems with someone learning, no one is perfect right from the start. I do have a bit of a problem withnot being upfront about the issues with the cues you are selling. just becuase youre selling them for cheap, people should expect them to have problems?

Ill send you the cue to fix up, and if it comes back well Ill be happy to let everyone know you did a good job. I have said the cue does play well, but I cant always get it to screw together. building cues that play well is definitely a step in the right direction for a new cuemaker.
 
Butch, maybe now you understand why i refer to this post on the cues he tries to sell? Thanks for the Red rep you gave to me for letting the rest of the AZ community know what kind of a guy Jeff really is.

Jeff, either stick to your word, or give up cue making altogether. Your reputation is so bad, you reckon people would pay $100 for firewood? I'd rather buy a cuetec than yours anyday. At least i will still be able resell the cutec for some cash without feeling any guilt to the next buyer.

Wow, that is just about as low as you can get on an internet forum, leaving someone negative iTrader rep when there never was a transaction. That action alone speaks volumes.

Look Jeff when they say suck it up there not telling you that they want it fixed, they are saying that they want there money back. Yes it sucks but that's just what needs to be done to make things right. When I sell a cue I put the money away and forget about it for a few months. I do this so that if there is an issue with the cue and they would like a refund I have not spent the money and I don't have to go into pocket. Your reputation is all you have and if you loose it than your going to be swimming up stream the rest of your days. Just because you make a cue does not mean you should sell it. It should meet a certian criteria that you have set for your self so these issues happen as little as possible.

I remember that cue Burns ... He did not have any curly so he took a lighter and burned it into the cue ... Where the dark spots are trying to give it a curly effect I also remember the cue had holes or cracks in it that Jeff had to fill... And yes the cue was in bad shape when Jeff sent it out ... I have one here almost like it he gave me if you want it I will be glad to send it to you I never use it as it sets in my rack collecting dust ... The man is a liar and a thief I have not threatend him or his family ... All I want is my money back ... To be honest this is the type of person Jeff is ... He was making a cue for my son for a Christmas gift and when it was almost done he posted it in the gallery ... My son was waiting on the cue but I think it was the Kurly one not knowing the cue was for my son's Christmas present and bought it for his daughter from Jeff for 125.00 or 175.00 somewhere in that area ... When I asked Jeff about it he said it was all about the money but he has a old cue that had been setting on his front porch for awhile he would finish and give my som .The money was more important to Jeff then our friendship or my sons Christmas ...It don't really matter my son never uses the cue it is a piece of junk and he would only pull it out when Jeff would come over to play so as not to piss Jeff off .. He loves his Sly and now knows what a good cue feels like compared to a bad one ... Thankfuly I was able to contact Sly and get my son a real cue for Christmas ...

Butch your son got a nicer cue for xmas from me .Like the xmas cue you got also. I wont take away a xmas that I give like you are doing . Forget it ,your nor worth it .good luck
 
Jeff ... lol... The cues suck do you want it back I promise you can have them both back ... They only serve one purpose in my house to collect dust and for guest to beat up on and save my house cues ... Funny they should mention Eddie Wheat I remember how excited you were when you talked to Eddie Wheat on the phone and told me he was going to start giving you tips and pointers and helping you out .... The hooked on Phonics nor the spelling classes worked well but you seem to have learned well from Eddie Wheat ..

Jeff all I want is my money back nothing else ... except for what I bought in the shop which is most of your better stuff that I paid for ... For once stand behind your product ... Quit all the lying and story telling .. Quit giving people negative rep you never dealt with ... You got a second chance but I think it will be awhile before you get a third if you ever do ...

Also how many times you going to tell us your done with this thread you can't even be honest with yourself ...
