OK,

How many of you have seen or played with a true Brunswick Ebony Titlist let alone no-wrap without all the clutter of added ringwork or inlays??? It's over 0.840" at the forearm joint and Jerry -R- was able to keep the fancy Willie Hoppe signature along with the stamped weight of 22 oz. This cue is a one of a kind, and extremely rare. If anyone else has one without all the clutter please feel free to add it on to this thread.

Jerry's work again is beyond fantastic. It looks much better in your hands than my pictures do. The grain in the ebony is subtle and rich. All white is elephant ivory. It sports a G-10 radial pin so it could get close to my playing weight of 19 0z. The fit and finish show off Jerry's wonderful gifts. I can't tell you how proud I am to know Jerry's work will hold up over time, after all he has 30++ years of experience.

Enjoy my new toy (<:

John

Beautiful Conversion

Jerry does an outstanding job. He converted an Oak titlist for me in a similiar fashion, maintaining the natural oak handle without adding a wrap. I love the look of the rich, dark ebony with the vibrant veneers and hoppe ring. Nice cue.

Great cue. These are the type of Titlist conversions I really love. Just let the beauty of the cue speak for itself. No need for all that inlay overkill.

well I don't usually get inpressed by cues anymore but this one is just wowwwwwwww.
Congrats on your new cue sir and please share some other pictures of the same spirit cues.

Impressive,most impressive.

I'll be happy to read how it plays.

Perfect! Those veneers with ebony....can't beat that combination! And then having -R- do the conversion....

man, I'd love to get an ebony titlist. You are convincing me to send my 26 1/2 model cue to him, but I've already got a high-end cue that he is building for me....

Very nice cue.

Wow .. .840 joint with points down there .. that's wonderful.

I had one decent blank (not ebony) that I had a local cue maker convert ... never occurred to me to see if he could turn it into a wrapless cue.

Congrat!

One shaft has about 35 grains to the inch with elephant ivory ferrule; and the other is a Predator 1st generation shaft which I prefer to play with. I've used one for about 8 years now. That way I can play with just about any butt and keep my stroke the same because of consistant Predator shafts.

Am I correct in assuming this cue was made from a 2 piece Hoppe Pro and not a one piece titlist? It just seems that would be the only way to keep the joint size up to par. Absolutely beautiful cue.

Yes, fullsplicefiend,

This cue was converted from a 2 piece ebony Hoppe Pro. and Sev, thank you for the kind PM. I hope you enjoy your cue. Jerry -R- does great work. Call him.

My pleasure.
I will give Jerry a call and see what his schedule is like. I'll send you some pics of those plated cues if you like.
