The link is to a low-res (web) version, that won't print out too good. I'll be coming back for the weekend and will be bringing Alex his promised prints. I appreciate you trying to help though!
I have a few different renditions of this photo, and will be bringing some samples along with me.
Know anyone who wants to be 'immortalized' on paper? I can take these all the way up to poster size.

The fine detail in the hair doesn't look like sketch software to me. Looks like some real sketching on top of a photo that has been digitally transformed.

It's not 'sketch' software. It's all done with Photoshop, by hand. (meaning I have full control of the results) And determine what happens.
It's a process I have been trying to perfect for about 3-4 yrs. They all start out as photos, then different things are added or taken away. Every image requires something different. Not trying to be secretive. It's a matter of knowing 'what' to do, and 'when' to do it. Sorry, there isn't a clear answer.
I worked on the Effren 'sketch' for hours last night. Actually stayed up till 3:30 this AM. It can be a tedious, and time-consuming affair to get it 'right'.
It's addicting!! (kinda like POOL!) Sometimes it's awfully hard to break away from the computer.
It's a hobby for me, and gives me something to do. I like exposing my creative skills, and hope you guys enjoy them.
