Reyes won the Villar Cup at 55 years old. It was a great day for me to read this while having coffee this morning. Looks like he's not quite done yet. I always like to see the champions in all sports spank the young guns once in awhile. I hope we haven't seen the last of him competing in the US yet. In my book he is the champion of champions. Congrats to Efren.
It rained pretty hard here last night and the word was the mall was still packed.
I wasn't able to see any of the matches.

To win one of the Villard events is definitely not the easiest thing to do in pool... You have to be the best that weekend among players such as Ronato Alcano, Dennis Orcullo, Roberto Gomez, Alex Pagulayan, Lee Van Corteza, Warren Kiamco, Radolfo Luat, Gandy Valle, Jharome Pena and Fransisco Bustamante, to name a few...

EDIT: Just read the article, and there was 3000 spectators watching the final between Gallego and Reyes. WOW

I thought it was a lot when I played at the Villard Cup Cebu when there were about 1000 spectators. 3000 is simply amazing, and it is absolutely fantastic for them to watch their idol finally win one of these prestigous events.

Bata will be competing in the Galveston Texas World Classic and that is in about three weeks.
