Efren v Austin Murphy Betting Action

I played barbox nine the other night with my Bro....

I will agree that Efren is a big favorite in this match, but I think it will be a good match to watch. For those of you who have not seen Austin play, he has game! He had SVB down 4-1 and 7-4 before losing in the nine ball division of the Reno Bar Box tournament. A couple of rolls going the other way and Austin would have won that match. Austin is not intimadated by playing the top players and sees it as an opportunity to see how he matches up. I will definitely be watching this match.

I played barbox nineball with my bro the other night. It was the first time I played on a barbox in like five years. I think I missed like 2 shots in eight games. I had like five break and runs and I will admit that I wouldn't beat efren 3 out of ten sets in this format. The kid has no chance, not that I'll put money on it, cause there's no way of knowing how efren is going to play it. Hell if I was in his position I don't even know if I wouldn't consider laying down with a bunch of money on the side because of the odds here.

Let me re-iterate that I don't know if I wouldn't consider it, anyone who really knows my character, knows that I wouldn't actually do it.

p.s. I will definitely be watching, like someone else said, if there's a trainwreck with hazardous fuel ready to explode, everyone should want to watch. Ok no one actually said that , they said it's like watching a trainwreck, but I lie my analogy better.

Wow, I cant believe the lack of respect Austin gets on here. I agree that his is a big underdog, but thats because he's playing the best player to ever pick up a cue. Just the opportunity to watch a young talent like Austin would be worth watching the match. My only regret is that I refuse to watch any match or production of Kevin Trudeau's. I cannot knowingly help a snake and con-artist like him, no matter how it might help the sport (even though I think it will once again hurt the industry in the long run).

the IPT has the right to make changes to the match. If Efren isn't available (and I've been told that he won't be coming to the states until MAY) for the April 29th match, then the IPT can put the 3rd place player in the match.

So, it might be the KID vrs the Hungarian.. 101 vrs 150

Wow, most of you have no idea how good Austin plays. In a race to 9 in 9 ball Efren would not want to spot Austin more than 2 games. If Austin doesn't win at least 5 or 6 games, it will only be because of his nerves, not because of how strong he plays.

If it does go down, I only have one thing to say.

"Excuse me, Mr. Reyes, who would you like the check made out to. Or, do you prefer hundreds?"

I have seen him play, and Efren gives much stronger players than him more than two games. Four or five going to nine, winner breaks and I'm sure Efren can get staked.

Yeah, I kinda figured that Efren might not even be available for the match, but they left him in the voting for promotional reasons. It looks good for Efren's challenge match when he is voted the favorite by the Ipt fans.

if the kid magically wins.......... I can see this forum loaded with topics of " is Austin the next efren?" "How do you think SVB would stand against Austin M.?"

Everytime one player does jsut a little good they are praised as a god........Just a observation!

If the kid cant win some games on his own, Efren will purposely miss and try to give the him some games. I guarantee it. I have seen it over and over. OMGWTF reported that in their 1P match, Efren tried to give her a few balls, Like I say, this is standard op for Efren.

I cant imagine this match will garner much interest.

What Crawfish said...and we know exactly how good Austin plays, it's Efren that we are unsure of!

lmfao, Efren has given bigger spots in shorter races to better players, so check your facts

If Austin wins 5 or 6 its because Efren GIVES him 5 or 6.This is a circus. The apperance fee for Efren better be worth it or he won't come.Thats for sure.

Well, well, well, looks like all you people that wouldn't come to my defense suddenly agree with me. Funny how that works. I guess knowing your are right isn't enough, because people will get emotionally involved into an argument, then all logic is lost.

I started to vote for the poor kid just to watch the slaugther that will now ensue. Oh and any of the morons that disagreed with me, or tried to helplessly argue with me over Austin's voting bid can bet me against him. Ill take Efren even 5,000 dollars a taker, lets see if you can financially back Austin, like you cowards did emotionally.

Quit being such a wanker. Nobody cared for the fact you totally discredited the kid for asking for votes. Your way of making your points is aggressive and rude at times. Same goes for Bumpypickle's treatment of this same subject. It isn't Austin you should have a problem with. The IPT set this up. If you or Bumpypickle don't want to see Austin play, vote for someone else and leave it at that.

As many people have already said....

I'd love to take austin and 10 on the wire?? please?? Where can you watch this match?

There's no telling how Efren will play it, so as long as he doesn't have side action giving ten games on the wire himself, it would be stupid for anyone to take you up on that offer, but if I knew that Efren was going to be going full out the whole way, I would bet you in a heartbeat.
