One thing that isn't silly is that it will give the best young player in the US an opportunity he has never had, to refine his game against a master. That is an unbelievable opportunity to him and should be supported by us.
I'm astonished how cynical everyone is regarding Austin's participation. You know there really is a lot less difference is Austin's and Efren's pure ability than is generally believed. What Austin does lack is experience playing people of this caliber, and the mental fortitude, and what he will gain from it is immeasurable.
What a selfish and cynical bunch of people here! Lay off, sit back, enjoy the match, support Austin to win as many games as possible.
