Sorry it took so long to get these up!

Had technical difficulties with my new camera (autofocus stopped working) right before this match. Some are a little fuzzy....

Here's Scott's jump shot in motion....how many times have you seen a jump shot in 1 pocket?? Efren did protest just a little bit....

He had to borrow one from a spectator....a kid about 10 yrs old loaned him his for the shot. It was funny as hell....

Scott asked him repeatedly "How's it hit"....

that jump shot should be banned in 1 pocket.. its just not right..

BCA Rule 5.9 Jump Shot Requirements, states the following

" Jump shots may only be attempted with your Playing Cue"

And BCA is a league system. Should we change to using APA rules for pro 9 ball events??

If you are referring to the BCA as an organization that has the right to govern pool in America, I laugh heartily in your direction, sir. They have failed miserably to promote pool effectively, and therefore they have no right to govern anything.

That being said, I agree that jump shots should not be a part of the game of One Pocket, but not because of any BCA rules.

I just got one thing to say after seeing all the other photos. (Very good pics, BTW!!)

And that is: DAYUM! Scott lives in Arizona! That boy needs to get outside once a week and get some sun!!! :D :D :D

Most of the Tourney played in my State AZ, are Played to BCA Rules.

I quote the only Rule book I have.

the 2007-2008 BCA Pool League rules.

FYI.

I agree with Cowboy about the only rules we have. What are we going to refer to when some idiot questions a basic rule, like base of the ball vs entire ball over the head string, or rail after contact ?

I'm in favor of using the BCA's rule, "playing cue only"...Tom

This was not a tournament!!

In this case...they decide what rules they are playing by. Same as in any money matches.

I am not sure what the stated rules of the Frost v/s Reyes match were as I was not present, and as I said quoted the only set of rule available close at hand.

BCA Rules seem to be as I said the rules the majority of events in AZ are run buy.

Also think the BCA is like the largest pool organization with what is it 60,000 League players annually.

Yeah, but in the Gambler's Rulebook, Chapter 11, page 209....

rule # 16458-8 states..."BCA rules DON'T apply to gambling matches. Rules will be decided by the participants of the match" ALWAYS.

Thanks!

Cool photos. I love the jump shot one.

Who are the railbirds on the right? Anybody from AzBilliards?

That's Babe Thompson wearing the glasses. One of the great long time local (Az) l players. Not sure if he posts on AZB or not? Don't think so.

Don't know any of the other people in this shot. Sorry....

Wait. You're saying that he had to borrom the jump cue from someone and that it wasn't even his?!?!

That is some serious BULLSH!T. I'm not gonna take sides in the jumping vs. no jumping in one pocket argument. But I will say this: you should NOT be able to go around the room and look for other people's cues to use for particular shots in the middle of a match!!!
