Efren's cue with blue tape on butt and a little piece of tape on bottom of shaft

Efren cruised through Detroit area using same cue as at the Derby. It appeared he was covering up the manufacturer. Some persons concluded it might have been a Predator??

Could he have been miffed/stiffed by a sponsor?

Inquiring minds want to know!

It is a predator bk break butt with a wood ld predator z shaft. He blue taped it to hide the very big predator cat.

I believe he is trying to be respectful of pat diveney who provides efren with playing cues. Not sure where his diveney has been.

Anybody know what it is? Looks like a blue wrap and some blue logo on the shaft.

Could be that 10,000 other people have that cue. He can now pick his out in 2 seconds. Especially when in a normal pool room.

Efren was wearing a predator sponsor logo for about one season a few years ago (2-4, if memory is good). He was only using their equipment for breaking, not playing.

I've watched a few Filipino gambling matches on-line and he's been using this a while now. He can play with anything. He may not even know that shaft is LD. Or care.

I was told at the derby that it was a Predator break but with the z shaft and Predator didn’t want to give him anything for playing with it so he covered up their logos. Whether this is true or not I’m not 100% sure.

lol. I actually played few months with same butt and Z2 shaft. Not Z3 like Efren but I also use Elk Masters haha.
My reason is that my old Z2 shaft ferrule finally gave up.. That had different pin and I had spare Z2 but with unilock and my little sister gave me BK2.. because i am coaching her

P.s i dont like stat slippery wood and might cover butt just like Efren
