Not too long ago someone posted a link of Efren's amazing kick shot against Earl Strickland. I can't find it anywhere, can someone please post it again? Thanks

Thanks man. That clip always brings a smile to my face.... how incredible was that for the audience to witness?? It also showed Earl being a true sportsman. Any other pro player would have been disgusted that Efren made that shot against him, to get perfect shape and run out to win the match.

Smilin' here too. I own the tape of that match, and still loved to see it. Why do they call him the Magician?

All praise Reyes!!

Never seen that before

Wonderful, just when you think you saw or thought of everything, look at that. Wonderful.

Thanks, guys...watching that tape sure brightened up my morning. Great to see Earl showing real class and Houdini doing what he does best. Watching it makes me tempted to raid my Derby City warchest and buy the Color of Money Efren/Earl match from ACCU-STAT. Don't beat me up, golf-lovers, but I think I got more excitement out of that 2 minutes than I did out of untold hours watching the Masters Golf Tournament that just ended. Anybody that doesn't think pool is THE greatest game on the planet just needs to view that tape.
Recovery - I tried to give you a rep for finding that link, but the system gave me that "spread it around" con, so IOU one.
'Saurus - I've been patiently waiting to give you a bad rep but you've been too nice lately and just have not earned it. After quitting the cancer sticks, you're supposed to be grouchy...whassssssup?

Wow, that's fantastic.

I saw that shot presented to George SanSouci once. He made it on the second try and came out for position just like Efren did. Of course, that was without the pressure of a hill-hill tournament finals...

Nicotine gum my friend. I haven't really had any withdrawal. Problem is I am slightly hooked on the gum lol...

I can't view the video at work can someone WEI table it? I know it isn't the same but i have a hell of an imagination, just ask all the victoria secret models. hahah I had to say that. I heard that the other night at my local hall and thought it was great.

Does anybody know what year and tournament that was? I would like to get the accu-stats tape. If someone knew the accu-stats tape # that would be even better. Help? Thanks.

Efren's famous kick against Strickland occurred in the double hill rack of the final of the Sands Regency 1995 event. Accustats S21-11.

My take on this shot was Efren obviously wanted to make contact. If he gets lucky he could come rail first behind the ball and leave a real awkard bank. By observation similar looks apparent because of speed. That would be my guess but he hits it so pure and ball first and makes the shot.

I think it was a slight miss judgement on his part, although it was near perfection and ended up making the shot. No person in the world could predict perfection on that type of shot. It was so close and he got lucky. Yes I've hit a few balls with Efren years ago. He isn't God but he'll do till god comes along.

Don't quote me on this

However if memory serves me, that is still available on accustats, under the 1995 Sands Regency 9 ball tournament. Call accu-stats, it's one of their top selling tapes, if not their #1 selling tape.

While were on the subject of Efren, does anyone know his background in billiards, or what kind he played? I have heard tons of great "pool" stories about Efren, but never Efren gambling at, or being seen practicing Billiards?...

Gerry

The funny thing about the shot, is that if any other player had made that against Strickland he would have flipped out saying the lucky s.o.b.
