So far thank you to those of you who have given constructive and intelligent feedback and to the rest I simply pity your mentality and how you are choosing to approach life. No one who is productive , fulfilled, or satisfied in life would bash on or degrade another person for no reason.
As far as the way I dress goes, I am and always will dress my way and my style. I see merit in some comments regarding shoes (I've been playing and practicing in healed boots for years) and even before this thread I've beginning to balance myself out with flats after I received that wise recommendation recently.
To those of you so focused on this outfit, if you take the time to look through my photos from competition (not promotional or personal because before you say it yes I have very provocative pictures in bikinis) you can see my look is different, formfitting, usually provides full coverage and is stylish. My hair and make up are always done and I'm am dressed to kill. This is how I look 95% of the time when I leave my house, this is who I am. I do not agree with every player wearing black shirts, slacks and flats. I promote people to be who they are and to dress the part of the persona they want to present. If we want the general population to be interested in pool, it must be entertaining as well as professional. We are in a new age and the dress codes need to evolve! Most of the pros (women & men) are undressing in my opinion and have not much personal style or flair. I'd rather be daring and controversial than boring! My life is too short for boring, traditional, conservative, old fashioned or scared. You are more than welcome to your opinion because the future of fashion, pool and personal freedom is getting stronger whether you like it or not.
POOL WILL GET MORE FANS IF PLAYERS START BEING THEMSELVES THROUGH STYLE AND PERSONALITY. I am proud of who I am, strut, swag, curves, confidence and all. Not to mention I am proud of my body because I stay disciplined to keep myself healthy and looking good. I represent the new fearless woman and I want to help other women come out of their shell.
Not once did I feel uncomfortable bending over that table in my dress because I knew my tights had me covered and I felt confident about the way I looked. Sometimes I choose to wear slacks and blouses, but regardless of what I am wearing I am always wearing something I feel good in and represents me.
As far as missing the 9 ball the first game goes I have seen EVERY top player miss shots like that in person, including Allison, Jasmin, Ewa, Ga Young and many top men. I have seen countless top pros miss with ball in hand. People are human and I've been competing & watching events nonstop for a decade. I once saw Ga Young and Jasmin miss hangers on the 9 back and forth to each other for a couple innings. It happens to us all and the very best because we are humans and not robots!
Truth be told for the amount of pool played in competition a fraction has actually been seen by others, on TV or in person. Up until the recent introduction of live stream there was small amount of TV & video coverage and that was edited! Why do you think racks are skipped during TV matches, probably because top players made simple mistakes. If you think champions don't miss easy shots then you are living in a fantasy world. Live stream puts you out there for the world to see, mistakes and all. I am all for it and I'm not afraid to be a human and let me my mistakes go.
For the record I never said I was a champion because I am not yet, but I am without a doubt a great player who has the heart and talent to get become a champion one day. If you want to judge my game based on the little you've seen online then you are too small minded for me to care about your opinion. If you think that people are just born champions or never started somewhere and improved to get where they are currently they you can not see the big picture. That kind of person will never succeed in life because they don't think they can change.
Also I have never and will never be embarassed by a loss or performance because I am not afraid to make mistakes and there by grow stronger. I feel no one should take themselves too seriously and that there is very little to ever be embarrassed by....unless you are one of the people on these threads that come off like an ignorant, insecure, scared of change, know it all (I'm embarrassed for you!). You people obviously have no heart and are so afraid of failure that you would rather criticize someone else instead of trying something for yourself.
How many of you critics have even competed at all? Much less played in a World Championship or even been to Asia? The answer is probably not many because no respectable player or accomplished competitor would have the time or interest in bashing someone else's efforts.
In the pool world there is so much to learn and so much knowledge that can be shared. AZBIlliards and its forums has been and will be one of our greatest tools to help each other advance and the sport to grow. I just want the bullies to know that when they try to take over an intelligent thread or an effort to learn they come off as insecure parasites. Good luck to you losers, you need it the most.
Thanks for listening, lets end this rant with a great quote...
"I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
Michael Jordan
it's obvious she didn't say 'great' thinking she's
hot shit and can hang with Shane, but rather to defend herself (and other female players) from the usual treatment they get on this forum.
Lol I can't believe wtf I'm reading. You started this thread and posted that video (which as far as I can tell shows 2 middling B players hacking their way through a race to 7), solicited praise and criticism, and now you're calling everyone who called it as it is mean-spirited and pathetic. You then go on to compare yourself to all the top female pros, then ended your ramblings with a quote from Michael Jordan. Incredible solipsism is at display here, I hope you realize that.
Take about 50 steps back and try to gain some perspective. Anyone who agrees with you that you're a "great player" is not your friend. That includes every moronic high-fiver in this thread.

And we can't believe what we are reading from you.... Is this what big bad dudes do on the internet, try and attack woman on pool forums... we are all so proud of you. Yes, I know, you never got to date a cheerleader in HS, and you're gonna take it out on every pretty girl on the net.
Cause Lord knows you would not say it to her face especially with any guys from AZB standing around..... Well played Sir,,, impressive indeed![]()

Take Mike Dechaine for example a top ranked pro. This forum is full of people who thinks he can't play at all!? They'll have a go at Shane next, then Orcullo. Then theyll say that Efren never could really play and all of his opponents actually dumped. Wtf is wrong with people?
To the implied charge of sexism: just because a man points out the obvious absurdity in a woman's opinion about herself, doesn't necessarily mean it's an attack on "women." Not pointing it out because it's coming from a women would actually be sexist and offensive. Get this through your thick skull. This forum does not exist to spread incessant praise. You are free to nuthug, and I am free to point out the reality of the situation.
As for your little fantasy scenario of stepping in between me and Emily, just realize that it's slightly creepy and that I can hear your mouth-breathing from here.

I'm confused as hell (not to mention sorely disappointed). Emily, you started this thread basically ASKING for criticism (no matter how harsh) from the ONE single video link you posted. If you wanted us to offer advice/criticism on more than one video, you should have posted more than one video. I have watched three videos of your playing and offered what I think to be honest, constructive criticism, just like YOU asked for. Now, I feel like I am one of the persons that you and some other posters here are attacking with names like "hater", "nit", and other terms of not-so-endearment. I am sorry I even posted on this thread now. Damnit, I feel like I was set-up to be lambasted by those who feel like you cannot fight your own battles, and need to come to your defense. I do not know you. I only know that you exist. I have only seen you play via three video links. You play pretty good. You would beat me more times than not. I am a "C" player on a good day and have never, ever talked-up my game. I just thought I was doing what you wanted when I posted constructive criticism. I feel betrayed.
Good luck to you. I know you have the desire, dedication, and determination it takes to get to the next level. I hope you get there and see the fruits of your labor!!!
Maniac (no hard feelings!!!)
The only heavy breathing from me is when your momma shows up to kiss me goodnight  Cause ya know, I'm a nut hugger and all![]()
I see I've brought a gun to a knife fight.
Dave, just for the record: I am not offended in the least. Please do not delete/close this thread on account of RJ's juvenile comeback.

You are chivalrous young sir :barf:
The whole "great player" term is something she attributed to herself in this post:
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showpost.php?p=4092028&postcount=1
"The player's that have been attacked the most in these forums are Myself (Emily Duddy), Borana Andoni, and Jennifer Barretta. The 3 of us are great players, we continue to put in the time in on our game, we compete non-stop putting in our own $, and give back to other players, leagues, and charities as much as possible. We also put ourselves out there to further pool. "
If you're going to call yourself great then you better back it up by playing great. Unfortunately, Emily doesn't. She plays average / slightly above average. She's is not Pro speed and definitely out-classed by a large percentage of the players playing in the Amway Cup - many of whom are at the world class level and a whole lot younger than Emily.
Concerning the video vs. Ine Helvik:
Was Ine injured? She reached for her shoulder numerous times after a shot.
Are you people actually watching the match objectively? Cause this is by no means a highlight reel of Emily playing great.
Emily indicated she's made a big jump in the last 6 months - Amway Cup was just last month wasn't it? Hmmm.
Emily won 10 total racks in the round robin stages at Amway. That's the 3rd lowest total for the entire event.
Great? Not even close.
Yeah. Even if this were a last minute change of plan, it was a really POOR choice. But I'd just chalk this up to really letting whitey get away from her. By A LOT.
Like I said earlier... Emily should spend less time walking around the table and taking looks from different angles, etc.. Stop worrying about looking the part and just PLAY the part.
