Enough is enough -- shut up or put up

Red circle cb.

If you watch real close you can see bigfoot run out of the garage at the twin towers just before they collapse. Balls are the same size and it is a red circle cue ball you bunch of jellous babies. We'll do another with a brand new set of Super Aramith Pro balls. (the funny color set) I love the guy that says he freeze framed it,to funny. Dave Gross is correct, I am cute in glasses. Miss ya buddy.

Red Circle

Best I can tell in the video...that's one heck of a powerful stroke being applied to what appears to be a red circle cue ball.

Don't look like no snooker ball to me.

Either way...watch the stroke and the hyperflex in his shaft. I think he could pull a freaking BOWLING BALL one length of the table.

JMHO

Just a nice solid stroke, and that table looks kinda slow too. The Majority of the players around me can do this all day. As can I. Not sure If I could do it on that table tho..

SPINDOKTOR

I cant do that, sometimes when i break i have drawn back and then back up the table again, but my long straight power draw has something to be desired because i shoot alot with an open hand bridge, its on my to do list for this week, ill work on it.Good vid and nice stroke! :)

Put up or shut up

I don't know if it's a snooker cueball or not, but it definately is smaller. I was able to freeze-frame it just when it hit the ball, and it sure looks a lot smaller than the object ball is! Good catch!

Hey, SJDinPHX, what's your real name -- Larry Guninger..?! How does it feel being so full of it? (full of envy, among other things).

Here's a freeze frame at 1:27 into the video, where I hold the cue ball next to the object ball. Neil, please tell me which one is larger.

As I said, put up or shut up.

(what amazes me is that no one actually caught that this is a 3 foot table and that Chris is a super midget)

It was a red circle cue ball. I've been trying to talk BP into shooting it with a snooker cue ball to get three lengths. The table is a little slow -- it's barely possible to get five lengths shooting up and down the center of the table.

Too often I see people on this forum making all kinds of claims (usually about their superlative skills, etc.)

Anyone else notice the irony here?

The thread starts off with:
shut up or put up.
but then follows it up with
I got my video camera and captured a few of [my friend's] draw-shots...
I mean, seriously, should I just hunt for a "friend" that can draw 3 lengths so that I can say that I "put up"? IMO, "putting up" somebody else's skills is the same as calling yourself out for not having those skills.

Just a thought...

Besides, to say you are an APA 4, but can draw the ball 2 lengths speaks volumes about how much "superlative skill" there is. Basically, it means having one skill: drawing the ball. Pool isn't about one shot.

But what do I know.

BTW: it is a lot of draw...

Hey champ2107

I was clocked in Vegas a couple years ago at just under 30mph on a bar table with one of Sardos junk sticks. I bench 300lbs give or take 5lbs on either side of 300. With my cue on a 9 footer I'd say 32 or 33 mph.

Wow! You are the complete package. Oh wait I forgot there's more to pool than mega breaks and circus tricks like cueball control and pocketing and...

Your mph is usually slower on the 9 footer. ;)

I'm still trying to understand what the big deal is, and what it is this proves. A shot with no use at all, no control, and not all that hard for most people. Just about 1 table length of draw from what I watched. Great, glad you can do that, more power too you.

If you want to watch circus draw shots watch some larry nevel videos.

Im going to try it tomorrow with the break stroke, just give it all i got and hit it full and solid,i always hit them timid always trying to make sure to pocket the ball.

Ive won money on this shot, by claiming I can draw the cue ball 5 rails! you go rail first into the 1 ad the rest is pretty much self explanittory..

CueTable Help

What does it prove?

It proves that cubswin might be blind or delusional. I think you measure the distance of a draw shot from the point of contact with the object ball. I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure it was 2 lenghts plus 2 diamonds with the object ball and cb starting 5 diamonds apart. The pockets on this table are exactly 4 inches tit to tit. "Quadruple shimmed" You think that doing this takes no control? Sort of like driving a 6000 horsepower funny car, just stab the gas pedal and steer, right. Nevel is a great player and I would love to see him hit this type of draw shot. IMO this is how draw distance should be measured. No circus tricks or masse stuff just flat out draw. champ2107. It's not really my break stroke, it's hard to explain. You have to hit the ball so hard and precise without miscuing, it isn't easy and despite what some mental hospital frequenters say not everyone in the pool hall can do it. The cb is not allowed to touch the long rail either. The most balls on a break is 5 a few times playing 9b and 6 a few times playing 8b. The shot starts with the cb on the headstring and object ball 1 diamond from the pocket. Give it a try.

Aha! I slowed the video down and saw a rubber band attached to the cue ball. All kidding aside, nice stroke.
