Wow, a lot happens in a month without internet!!! What a pleasant surprise to find first thing :)

I'm not going to rant on to defend myself, as there's no defending needed. I'll just give a few words to state my position. I thank all the folks contributing & having my back while I was away. I never lied to anybody, never admitted to lying. If I lied, which I did not, then i'll do my time in hell for the sin. It's safe to say it wouldn't be the worst thing I have done in my life. I answer to no man & my reasons are my own for the things I do & the way I live. It's nobody else's business. I got none of your money, so you got no screwing from me, simple stuff. Your reasons are your own for your actions, and you are the one who will deal with it. So say what you must, no harm no foul on my end.

Not a horrible idea. I might be in his area on the 4th weekend, anyway :) Venison sure sounds tempting!!!!

So...... what exactly do you think he meant by "playing peek-a-boo"?!?! And is that supposed to be a good thing? Because if you DID follow the links and read all the details, I wasn't the only one who found this to be a strange comment to make.

And I can buy the fact that unstable woods warp. Especially when moving to a new temperate zone. But three times?!?! Meanwhile, other people got their cues. In fact, someone got the same design! No warping there!!!

Defending your friend is noble. Defending someone who is just plain wrong is stupid.

Oh good grief!! :thud: I am not going to argue that Eric doesn't make a fine playing cue...obviously he does, since there is such a demand...but he is not the be all and end all of cuemakers. There are several cuemakers out there that make a cue that plays every bit as well...perhaps some even better. I use the results of a side-by-side comparison of several makers' cues (including Eric's) as the basis for my remarks.

The guy gets up in the morning and puts his pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of the planet. He is not a 'god'...he's just a guy that knows what he's doing with respect to building a fine playing cue. There are others out there just like him....having the passion to build the best darn playing cue that they possibly can...and it reflects in their work as well. The only difference is, they have managed to avoid the 'hype' by the cue flippers looking to make a quick buck off of Eric's back. At least they are left in peace to keep on keeping on.

I am not even sure it's physically possible for you to get your nose any further up his a$$ than you did with that post right there. :yikes:
