The EPC has started today, first event is 14.1 and the matches have started an hour and a half ago. There is a livestream and livescores available at the website http://www.epconline.eu/ . Also bwin is offering a stream. Couple of interesting names on the player list are Darren Appleton and Gerda Hofstätter... Gerda hasn't played at the EPC for years and I believe this is a debut for Darren.

This year I'm not there as a referee so I cannot give you detailed reports, sorry :)

There is 11 tables on the live stream :thumbup:

Darren was in the 2007 and 2008 EPC. Last year he made 17th in 8 ball and 5th in 9 ball. For the first time since 2006 the british players also have spots in the straight pool competition.

I was wondering why that is? why the Brits have only just been given spots for the straight pool event this year?

Oh yeah, multiple livestream on table of choice = luxury!! And yeah, my memory failed me, Daz has been in the EPC earlier...

Go Finland!! Take a closer look an a Finn Aki Heiskanen. He has EPC silver medal in 8-ball earlier and he just ran his new PB in 14.1 235 balls. He sure plays entertaining and fast styled straight pool!

last year was my debut 2008 just played 8ball and 9ball..

looking forward to straight pool this year too

Darren - I'm also looking forward to watching you in the 14.1. I believe Ivica Putnik is the defending champion - best of luck to you in all the events!

Have a good one Daz. I was there last year as a ref and just now remembered watching a few of your matches. It's a tough field at the EPC.

Did you get the validation code via email and used that to validate your account?
 
I registered but they didn't have Canada in their list of countries so I've just become Cambodian, lol.

Won't take your password? It asks the username and password only after you have validated your account. Did you do this? Or it won't accept your password when you try to register in the first place on the registration page?

Edit: work is a terrible thing if it starts interfering pool live streams on a regular basis... :)

I just received information that the livestream will cost from now on and won't be free. I was anticipating this as they were providing us 11 different streams. :speechless:

You can still watch it allmost free on Bwin.com . Just make an account and deposit the minimum req to be able to see live matches. It's only one table but it's filmed from more angles and has commentary . Video window is smaller tho, and can't make it full screen.
 
I can't log in to the stream either. Confirmation passed, but my account name and password are not accepted. Those two fields just become blank again, it even doesn't report the result like "password incorrect" or smth else. Nothing. Even more, when I tried to email their admin, I received "delivery failure", their sites work poor at my side. For instance, I was able to pass confirmation through Eurotour site, not through ecponline (received "page not found" all the time there)

And now you say Mikko they are going to charge us for such type of service?
