So where's my money or product. He's out of the hospital.

Maybe you will get some Dave Bucks, redeemable at his new store. You know, the new store that you just invested in.

Its pretty obvious that his giving you the run away. I hate these kind of people. What's his diagnosis? He cant be in the hospital that long.

He had the flu, but I hear it was pretty bad:thumbup:

If I do, I'm gonna use them on "fancy" ferrules and maybe a new one of a kind wrap jig. Who's with me.

You are

Leonard, you need to get your facts straight before you make baseless accusations. Just for the record, and to refresh your obviously poor memory,

#1. You were shown everything that went with the machine BEFORE we agreed on the price.
#2. At that time I made you aware of the time frame that I needed the machine moved by and you agreed to it. I accepted a deposit from you and at that time
told you the deposit would be non-refundable if you failed to complete the purchase...You also agreed to that.
#3. Come time for the machine to be moved you hadn't called or made other arrangements so I called you to ask if you still wanted it. You then said you
would be by the next day or so to pick it up (which you did).
4. When you arrived at my shop the machine & the tool box was sitting on a work table, not on a dolly. The tool box was wide open and you rummaged through it asking
questions about how to make the stylus for it and which stylus to use with certain end mills. You also looked through all the end mills & various other items that I included.
If you felt there was something missing why didn't you make a comment then?

I do (clearly) remember you calling me a day or so later asking about a brass pattern I had made, and I reminded you that it was NEVER part of the sale.
If your memory serves well, you'll recall I did give you a copy of that particular pattern (even though I felt no obligation to) since I would have no further need of it.
Which leads to #5
#5. When you called asking about that brass pattern (that was NOT part of the

After a little afternoon prayer time the debt's are released and forgotten, thank you Lord.--Leonard
Paul you are a good person and I hope you get what you paid for

Sounds like Dave won't need a cue shop after this fiasco is over...

I'm just sayin...

Dave may have, I haven't. My process involves filling out paperwork, etc. etc.

So....

How long did he have, before he got sick, to ship the lathe???

From what I have read, I surmise.

1. You paid him
2. He procrastinated for at least a week, never shipping the lathe(it was over Christmas and New years though. There was at least 4 days during the week after Christmas... No communication during that time?)
3. He got sick...which sucks.
4. He has been monitoring AZ(according to what I have seen) most of the time.
5. Lies about the pm's, ignores your phonecalls, and has NOT returned your money like he promised?

Have I misunderstood anything?

BTW. He was on yesterday morning. Can't feel too bad if you're up early eh Dave?

He had 2 weeks easy to ship the lathe before he got sick.

1. yes. 12/26/2012
2. after not hearing from him for a week i pm him and ask for tracking number 1/2/13, said he was busy and would have it ready to ship asap. i say okay.
a week after (1/9/13) i send another pm and ask for tracking info. again, he said package is ready to ship and not to worry because he wanted to make sure it was packaged properly and he didn't want anything to happen to my investment and YRC would be by to pick it the following mon or tues, i even told him to ship it to the terminal as this will save him money on shipping charges, he agrees.
1/16/13 i pm and ask for tracking info only to have his wife reply and say he was in the hospital with the flu for the past week and would be released on thursday 1/17/13.
on 1/17/13 I tell her my aplogies for dave being sick but i want a refund, she agrees to tell dave, the next day i pm to ask of the status of the refund, she said dave agreed and do it when they get home from hospital he was supposed to be released 1/17/13.
After no refund i pm his wife again 1/18/13 to find out about refund, she said he wasn't going to be released until 1/19/13 now. I tell her that oddly enough, i still want the lathe and if he still wants to make the deal, i will only do it if he refunds my money, ships the lathe, and let me pay when the lathe arrives here, on 1/19/13 i ask what was going on. she pm's back and says he will be released later that day and has agreed to my conditions. since then, they have avoided my phone calls (66 attempts), 3 VM's, and 2 text messages.
3. the flu(according to his wife), i agree
4.i agree
5.yes, yes, and yes

Everytime I see an addition to this post, I am hoping it is you announcing a refund.

Everytime...I am disappointed.

I never really liked Dave or his wife after the nonsense with his "wrap jig", but I had hoped this would prove me wrong.

Again.....I am disappointed.

I hate being right sometimes....

It will probably take a good week or so to get my refund because of the "snail mail" times, but that's okay, at least I'll get it.Until then I will continue to call his number daily and leave a VM because maybe one day he will "man" up and answer or return my call.

As far as Dave Hedrick is concerned, it appears he is just one of "those" people who wake up everyday and feel entitled. I never knew of the benefit tourney he was having for himself, if I had, maybe I would've been a little more hesitant in buying the lathe but then again, maybe not. I know that I used money that I saved up, so it won't bother my "household" and the money being gone for awhile is something I can deal with as i will get it back eventually.

Hopefully he will get himself together as I know for a fact there are a lot of good people on these forums that are always willing to help someone in need and one day when he "really" needs some help, nobody will answer.

Well they answered when I called. Apparently they have no intention on paying you or answering any questions about your money.

Yah Dave it was me. So sorry to surprise you and yes...you both deserved what I said to you.

Your actions speak louder than words.

BTW, you sounded REALLY healthy on the phone. Glad you are feeling better...

Good luck with trying another fund raiser...

The fund raiser soliciting donations for incurred hospital expenses was running for some time.

The actual date of the tourney was postponed several times. Then, Hill Billy Bryant was supposed to be running the tourney.

Dave had promised that the auction for the donated items would be posted on line as per AZ members requests so that they might bid on them as well.

I did bug him a bit to post the results of the auction and results from the tourney. In the end he reluctantly did.

I had sent him an autographed 9 Ball from Cliff Thorburn, which at a later date regretted because of his lackluster attitude after he received the donations from everybody.

There were so many other charity tourneys that happened after that I felt were more legit than his.

Sorry Dave, just my opinion re your attitude.

He had started a thread re wrap jigs. It did sound that these were being made and offered to people here.

After he took a bit of flak for it, he announced that it was a mistake and that he was only making one for himself.

Yet, if you read his Face Book page, it was announced that he in fact would be building wrap jigs for sale to the general public.

So, this is the type of guy that he is and the type of guy that unfortunately Paul got wrapped up with.

I kind of took a rather morbid interest in this thread for a couple of reasons and not to be a Drama Queen.

One, I don't like to see this forum being used as a venue for ripping off the good posters here.

And second, I have had great transactions with many of the members that post in the Machinery and Ask forums.

Things like this can sometimes make it difficult for the honest members that hang out here, and I was hoping that despite the rip offs that continue to happen in the Sales forum, that we could keep our two forums clear of the rip off artists that happen to go to any lengths to take advantage of the good guys here.

Paul, I continue to hope the best for your resolution here.

And yes Randy, good luck with any other future transactions from Dave's Cue Repair. I sent him a Red Rep with a message to clear this up with Paul. I was hoping that some of the others would also do the same as to maybe leave a Red Bar for Dave to be a warning for other posters in the future that might be tempted to send Dave money.

And yes, people do have legitimate reasons for bad things that happen to befall their lives. To Err Is To Be Human. That said, I think by now we have heard all the excuses and sometimes they wear a little thin.

I was sick, I was in the hospital, I lost my job, my wife etc, my car broke down and had to spend the money to fix it, it hurts when I pee.

Come on, some of us maybe were born at night, but it wasn't last night.

I donated and it was no biggie but when I heard he could not provide hospital bills b/c they were " lost ", he lost credibility to me.
Now, his website is down.
Won't answer calls or e-mails ? His "wife" no longer posting ?
Me thinks the circus left town.

Yeah, it was no biggie to me either Joey. I tend to try and pay things forward when I can. It was just the attitude that came later that made me re think.

And as we used to say in the Carnival Business.

Nothing but wagon tracks and popcorn sacks.
In the morning, we'll be gone.

Like Gypsies in the Night.
