Their composure, I presume. What did You find humorous/funny about the enthusiasm of the spectators?
Just curious how You came to that conclusion.
The cultural differences between billiards and pool scenes are pretty dramatic, in my experience.

Wasn't that the Sang Lee tournament at which Semih ran 20?We played in 98 in an international event at Chris's Billiards in Chicago.
It was a 'Carom Corner' event. SS did run 20 against Mike Kang of NYC.Wasn't that the Sang Lee tournament at which Semih ran 20?
I was there - saw the best billiards of my life, including yours.

I came to that conclusion because they are on the edge of their seat with excitement. It reminds me of the 2004 World Series. What did You find humorous/funny about the enthusiasm of the spectators?

I think it was the US tournament high run at the time. You run over a fast crowd.SS did run 20 against Mike Kang of NYC.
Chris's billiards? I think so.Remember I mentioned Sayginer didn't take the loss to me in the Finals very well.
In this match against Sang Lee, the winner plays Dick Jaspers for the Title.
SS scores a point to put in in the 1 hole at 49, SL needs 3, He makes a very nice 'Umbrella' to run 3 & out! Leaving SS in his seat.
Make sure you watch this video to the end, to see how Sayginer accepts this loss.
J, this is 1000% Chris's Billiards. It's in the back room.Chris's billiards? I think so.
Maybe not on second look.
Yeah, definitely not on third look. Chris's has round beams that flair out. Same chairs though.
How many years ago? I don't ever remember the 3 cushion being in the back. Or did they move them for the tournament or bring in more?J, this is 1000% Chris's Billiards. It's in the back room.
The 3C tables were in the back from 90-2000.How many years ago? I don't ever remember the 3 cushion being in the back. Or did they move them for the tournament or bring in more?
Ahhh...moved there in 95 but wasn't around there all that much during that time. Too many skirts to chase and drunks to rob.The 3C tables were in the back from 90-2000.
The face punch was a bit extra indeed.Sayginers loss
LOL! I'm 'Old' but not that old. Actually, that man is Gene Dobbs a 3C player. In that video, He was about maybe between 80-85.The face punch was a bit extra indeed.
Was that you in the yellow shirt at the end?
Sang started from a Very 'Defensive' position! He made a Very good shot. It's hard to judge the outcome of the 3 balls after such a starting shot.Out of curiosity I tried to predict his shots during the run. I paused it before each shot for no more than 10 seconds. I guessed 16 shots correctly. So 16 out of 29. Not bad for a pool player.
One thing about this run that jumped out at me and I don't really understand the game that well, but it seems like he never really had the balls under control. This run looked really difficult as he never managed to get a ball close to a corner where he could then get several scores. Maybe I'm clueless. I'd be interested to know if I'm way off base.
That first shot from Sang Lee was phenomenal.Sang started from a Very 'Defensive' position! He made a Very good shot. It's hard to judge the outcome of the 3 balls after such a starting shot.
I am glad you had someone to share stories about the beginning of the Industrial Revolution with.LOL! I'm 'Old' but not that old. Actually, that man is Gene Dobbs a 3C player. In that video, He was about maybe between 80-85.

What state was this room in? Chris’ Billiards?
Sorry -- I was referring to Caudron's high run.Sang started from a Very 'Defensive' position! He made a Very good shot. It's hard to judge the outcome of the 3 balls after such a starting shot.
