Danny DiLiberto, Grady Mathews and I, the Beard, have agreed to run a Fantasy Day Camp at Derby City. It will run about 5 hours and will consist of each of us doing an hour and 1/2 to 2 hrs each, on pool lessons, stories and socialized mingling. Danny doing straight pool, Grady One Pocket and the Beard doing Bank Pool. Diana Hoppe will take photos. More info and the date as it becomes available. Price $100 per person. More details to follow. This is the initial announcement. Reserve a spot through any of us three.

I can't go. I'm deeply sorry but the DCC won't give me my regular deal and I have many problems here at home. Good luck to everybody and I'll see you down the road.

Things change

There is still a few months before DCC, so hopefully things might change in Grady's situation. If not, I and Danny are still on and we will "audition" 1pkt demonstators to take Grady's place. I have a few doozies in mind but there is plenty of time to make a decision. Jay Helfert has kindly agreed to appear and grace our event with a few stories.

OMG!!!! If I were going then I would so be in on this. $100 for five hours with you three? That's the best bargain in pool. I'd spend that much for ANY ONE of you easily.

Well I am jealous of all that attend already.
 
Good news

Things have been worked out so I may come. It'll be a pleasure to work with my old friends Freddie and Danny and co-host the One Pocket and Bank Pool HOF dinner. As as become the norm I shall also be doing Bank Pool ring game(s).

If the dates coincide with when I am down there, I am in.

Maybe I'll finally take up banks or one pocket.

The format will be informal and close up. Since the demonstrations are an hr 1/2 each, the lessons will geared to be absorbed in that time frame. The size of class will probably be limited to "intimate," so first come first served.

We need to coordinate with Bob Jewett, as we hope to be using his straight pool room in a morning scenario. As soon as I hear from him and confirm, I will set a date. Space is probably going to be limited boys (and girls).

I don't quite have the permission from she who must be obeyed, but assuming I get it, How do I lock in a spot? I think I may just be driving down from Chicago that morning.
