there are 5 beatable games(tables) in Downtown Vegas, but the stakes are so low its a joke and I have long been thrown out, I might be able to sneak back in. There are beatable games in Reno.
None of the shoe games on the strip are beatable anymore, you cant see enough cards to adjust your bets enough to give yourself a edge, the information just isnt there.
Also if you think your going to playing winning 21 using a basic stragity card(which they let you use at the table) and a +/- counting system, your a stone sucker and thats why they can afford BILLIONS to build more joints to bust the next round of wise guys comming to town, to "count cards"-think they havent got that all figured out???? thats all they do is hire guys with advanced degrees in math to make it "seem" like you have a ashot when you dont-sure you an win one trip, they have to let a few people leave with a little-to keep them and the rest interested, Casiono's are in the business of looking beatable, if they didnt appear to be beatable who would go??? Honest to God how clear is that??? You dont have to live here long and keep your eyes open to see that, unless your a degenerate gambler(lots of them here).
To play winning 21 you have to have running side counts of the 5's and 4's
and Ace's intrgrated into the basic stragity and +/- system all at the same time, the 2's and 3's arnt quite as important as the dealers average non busting hand is 18.23(best I can remember tonight). they say to ignore the 6,7,8 right??? well they are important depending on how many 2,3,4,5 are in the deck. point is you gotta know them all, thats why Stuie Unger had the triple nuts he could remember it all, I cant but I can the 4,5,A and the 2,3 sometimes, I know if the 4,5 are gone then the 6,7's arnt a big issue. follow me???if your gonna win you should be able to.
all the cards are linked, the +/- thing the let tourists use is a trick on the customer(sucker) it empowers them in their own minds but inst enought useful info to play winning 21, if it was do you think they would let them use it??? DUH?? winning 21 is a dependant trials process, what happens on the next hand is dependant on the cards missing from the remainder of the deck, but if you dont see a large enough % of those cards(and you dont on shoe games anymore-years ago they did) you cant make informed decisions.
If you can keep track of the +/- count, Know Basic Stragity 100% perfect, track the A's, 5's, and 4's simultainiounsly then you might walk away a winner from a single deck game that lets you bet more than 3times your first bet, you also have to play at a 4 hole game and talk the dealer into dealing 3 times thus seeing 12 hands and be sitting at 3rd base to gather enough info to calculate just how much to jump your bet. A 5 hole game with 2 deals lets you see 5 hands not 8 like a 4 hole by 3 deal table and that puts you at a disadvantage, so its just as important to see how the house lets the dealers deal. if your at a 3 hole game with 3 deals thats one hand better than a 5 hand by 2 deal table. it gets complicated-everything has to be right. Where I got busted was betting more than 3times the first bet when everything was right, sometimes they call for a re-shuffle and then your screwed, it creates a independant trials process like dice or roulette, what happened on the previous hand dosent matter as the cards are re-shuffled.
also at alot of joints they have aout shufflers for every hand-Hardrock comes to mind, thatsworse than Roulette,
but hey what do I know?? I was trained by Roy Futternick(the best Pro 21 player alive) and lived in Vegas for over 20 years and started playing in casinos when I was just 18, i'm 42. I guess the other guys are smarter than me....
Its funny to locals in Vegas(especially friends of mine who are pit bosses) they laugh at all the experts, thats why all the $$$ stays in Vegas-all the "system" players. I cant find a game here I can beat anymore so I dont play. it gets boarding too.
But I dont care what anyone says, if you dont see enough cards from a shoe its impossible toi make intellegent deisions, like dice the better you play the slower you lose your $$$ but you still lose.

you know what the difference between a whale(super high roller) and a grinder is in a casino??? nothing but the color of their chips, same stupid behavior, just different color chips it all ends up in the same place. "Oh I'm a big player with Chocklates($5000 chips)" that idot isnt no different than a bum with reds($5 chips), think about it???
really i didnt make all this up, i hope it is of some use to some people, it took me a few minutes to learn what i typed here but a couple years of practice to master it. Shame I dont play poker, I just dont like card rooms and get board-even with 21.
