Favorite Break Cue

I recently purchased a Full-spliced Titleist-style Break Cue
from Taiwan for $20.00 (total) and it breaks'em as good as
any dedicated Break Cue I have ever owned.

Sold my Alex Brick Diamondwood (which was GREAT !!!)
and sold my Cuetec Jump/Break, in favor of this New, Cheap
Cue.

Yes, I have one. I'm thinking of upgrading to a Mezz PBII - I'm trying to determine whether it's worth the extra money. I have no way of trying one out - or any other model for that matter - so am curious as to why they're five times the cost of my J&J.

It probably won't break any better unless your style of breaking and preferences lend themselves to the particular qualities of the cue. I've broken with many different cues and I can't really say any one decently constructed cue is any better than any other, inherently. There are cues whose qualities I prefer, but that's usually a separate issue from the price of the cue.

I read on the Mezz cue web site that the butt of the Mezz PB2 is 4" shorter than the 'average' break cue. This would make the butt only 25" long.

Is the shaft still 29" (average break shaft length) ???

Does this make the Mezz PB2 only 54" long ???

What length is the Mezz PB1 ???

yeah the pb2 is shorter. the pb1 is 58 inches

break

My buddy bought the J&J and we both tried it and neither one of us were impressed, he sent it back, I think the PB2 has more rigidity because its only 54", Ive let alot of people try it and they agreed, although a few people were thrown off because of its length, but I think thats because if you are used to gripping the cue at the far end of the butt when you break then a 54" cue is gonna throw you off.To each his own I guess, I like it.

Bouska

Okay, I searched this forum for a poll on the best or favorite or preferred Break Cue. Couldn't find one.

So, I'll ask: What is the best Break Cue (not Jump Break) for the money?

Thanks in advance.

Have tried lots of friends breakers and most make a difference compared to a playing cue. Then a friend had a Joe Bouska and it was very impressive. Odd taper on shaft and butt and shaft maybe made od Diamond wood? Not sure of that but definitely not maple. Hits like a freight train. I think $275 new, he lives in that state straight south of Gods country, OKLA.
