I like watching 14.1. 8 ball and 9 ball are good because people that aren't as into it as much as us pool lovers can relate to them. 2 things make one pocket good to watch are: first, top players, otherwise it seems that the players are just ducking too much. Second, the watcher must really like one pocket to give a diddle about strategy that may not be clear to the observer. Really, long safety battles are boring unless the cue ball must travel lots and stop precisely....lots of safeties in snooker are like this, and it makes them fun to watch because all spectators can appreciate the skill
