Fedor Departs CueTec...?

700bux for a wood shaft is awfully high. Don't care how they cure/turn the wood.
I 100% agree with you yet its worth every euro i spent buying it as I am able to use all that power and the accuracy to win matches I wouldnt be able to win without this shaft, thats all I care for honestly🙂 This shaft is the only shaft on the market I found that was giving me truly everything I needed for my current state of game so I was willing to spend that kind of money on it. And I absolutely love shooting with it both playing matches and practicing,I dont regret a thing on this one 😊

I got it exactly one month ago,it came 1 day prior to Czech 8ball nationals. I took a huge gamble and I played with it that weekend winning bronze medal in the end🙂 I simply fell in love with it on the first shot and there was no turning back ever since😁

Pretty classy post from Cuetec - no hard feelings and all well wishes. From their FB:

"It’s a bitter sweet day for Team Cuetec. Today we sadly say goodbye to Fedor Gorst as he leaves the Cuetec Pro Team to seek new challenges and opportunities, but today we also celebrate and smile, remembering all of the amazing moments and victories that were shared since a young Russian joined Team Cuetec more than five years ago.
On behalf of the entire team at Cuetec we want to thank you for being part of the Cuetec family. You played an important part in showcasing Cuetec’s renewed commitment to engineering the best high-performance cues and shafts in the game. It’s been a pleasure watching you grow into the man you are.
We’ll see you in the box champ!"
Super Classy!

True, I have been playing with Mezz/Exceed for several years myself, they are really good. But recently I converted back to wood after 7 years with cf shafts (I realized cf shafts were messing with my aim big time+the speed control was off with cf as opposed to wood), I switched completely to Peri. Their P20-K shaft is the best wooden shaft I have ever played with, its price tag is insane but for the good reason :)
Messing with your aim? How does a shaft affect aiming?

I have already written my response to that question in comment #15 - I use the edges of shaft to aim against object ball on majority of shots and with cf shaft I dont get as much visual info as I get with wooden shaft by a country mile. As an outcome my aim was not as solid with cf as with wood😉 When I switched back to wood the problem disappeared right away. I tried to go back to cf and the difference was huge for me. No cf anymore for me🫣

No surprise here. Cuetec has represented pure class since I met Janet Schimmel at Super Billiards Expo back in 1995. They've long been one of the foundational pillars upon which the pro game has stood.

Good luck to both Cuetec and Fedor Gorst as they move forward.

Let's face it. Fedor's stock couldn't be running any higher. In his last four Matchroom majors, he came 5th at the Spanish Open, 5th at the European Open, 2nd at the US Open 9-ball and 5th at the Hanoi Open. He also won Matchroom ranking events at the Derby City 9-ball, Turning Stone and the Peri Open. Finally, he is on top of the AZB 2023 money list, in a heated battle with Josh Filler for that distinction.

I'm sure he's getting a great cue deal from somebody, and he'll have earned every dollar of it. Similarly, congratulations to his new sponsor, who will have hooked up with a proven winner, thereby further ensuring that their brand will frequently find the limelight.
