Fedor Departs CueTec...?

Here’s my thought…

With Cuetec, SVB has the “top of the line” cue with his name on it and Woodward has the Avid cue line with his name on it. I think that’s as many people that you can fit with a “signature” deal with Cuetec without diluting the brand.

So either don’t strive for your own cue or move on to someone new. Now, for guessing sake, I’m thinking it’s a cue brand that will be accessible to the majority of people. Why? Because Fedor has made a deliberate effort to be accessible to the fans. Every social media post while in Hanoi was highlighting him signing cases, reposting fans Instagram posts (which is super smart and makes a fans day), and generally staying humble while keeping the fans in the loop.

So that makes me think it’ll be something affordable. Peri does have more affordable cue but normally the more expensive are geared to some theme. My guess is that he’ll be the guy with a straight forward nature of playing so no dragons or fancy designs. So maybe we get a cue designed like the SVB Cuetec.

So yeah, I can see it being Peri Cues. But my outside the box is something like Bull Carbon. It could be a huge investment on their side with no other major sponsored players that I can find so far. The second guess is the JF Flowers with some of the big names of playing like Earl and Orcullo. That brand just for some reason feels off. It seemed there was a big sponsored push that flooded social media all at once for a couple months. But I’ve never seen places to buy them other than their own site. That always seemed weird to me.

Let's face it. Fedor's stock couldn't be running any higher. In his last four Matchroom majors, he came 5th at the Spanish Open, 5th at the European Open, 2nd at the US Open 9-ball and 5th at the Hanoi Open. He also won Matchroom ranking events at the Derby City 9-ball, Turning Stone and the Peri Open. Finally, he is on top of the AZB 2023 money list, in a heated battle with Josh Filler for that distinction.

I'm sure he's getting a great cue deal from somebody, and he'll have earned every dollar of it. Similarly, congratulations to his new sponsor, who will have hooked up with a proven winner, thereby further ensuring that their brand will frequently find the limelight.
And he will be MVP for team USA Mosconi Cup.

Will FG show up in Austria with a new cue? Will the butt be wrapped with electrical tape? Will it be maple or carbon?
