Per terryhanna in the post below, on day 2 prior to the start Ghorst was having problems getting the balls to rack tight and wanted to change to a template rack as a result. Alex agreed.

The change makes sense for Ghorst because apparently he was able to get tight racks on day 1, so on day 2 when he could no longer get them to rack tight he wanted to change to another method that would continue to allow him to get tight racks because he was having great results when he was having tight racks.
The change also made sense for Alex because he was getting absolutely slaughtered on day 1 and has nothing to lose going to something else because the original thing obviously wasn't working out very well for him. He probably also figured that on day 1 Ghorst was somehow able to rack the balls better than he was and that maybe the template would help to even things out. Regardless, considering the slaughtering he was taking on day one, he may have just felt he really had nothing to lose and potentially something to gain by agreeing to something, anything, new because it could hardly get worse so cut your losses and try a new game may have been the thought. Also, even if things had started going his way there was little chance he would be able to make up that massive deficit so all things considered it was best to get out with a lesser pro-rated loss and start anew where anything might happen on the fresh set with new racking conditions.
Everybody knows that which rack/racking method is being used is significant. A better way of stating it might be that any changes to any of the match parameters/conditions nullifies the bet.

Took me 4 after my last operation to not be in massive pain. I hope your situation improves faster, I was on the outside of normal time range. It’s not easy. PM me if you want to talk anytime.
If Alex would have continued, he would have had to have won that second day by 35-24, so having to win literally almost 50% more games than Fedor won, and all while Fedor has been playing in full beast mode lately. If Alex can't pull off that monumental task it costs him $25,000.
You would have to be an absolute IDIOT not to take that $6,000 buyout without a second thought AND be sending Fedor thank you cards (because you were about 95% to lose $25,000 instead) and start over with a new set with new racking conditions that you felt better favored you. The only possible mistake here is why Fedor let him out so cheap when he had him dead to rights. Fedor was being very, very charitable at only $6,000.
Imo, either the bet is off, or you do what they did, which is pro-rate. So you would pay a small percentage of the $40.
Then going forward, it’a a new set with new length and rules, and therefore you make a brand new bet. The old bet is over. It does not continue in any form in this new set.
I am with Tooler on this. WTF is going on? I have never heard of anything like this in any match. If anybody knows, please explain to the rest of us. thanks
This is common place…deleting any negative chats on ppv’s . ( you paid for the stream, but don’t you dare knock it…lol)
Maybe Alex doesn’t have that thick of skin. . Hard tapping balls is just an act of frustration. This was a bad set.
They also don’t want the pot stirred with chat post’s, that will hurt future ppv sales. (Rainbow’s and Lollipops)
I really do hope they play 1P. I’m just not so sure Alex really wants it.
Fedor is the real deal, and he understands the game much better than most would believe. All games.

No. I'm saying Alex should have paid off and walked away. Kenny Rogers said it best. Know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em. How did it work out for him?
I’m paying off, not a big deal. I’m cool with Demetrius. That’s not my beef.
But I’m done with these shit show chop suey internet matches. That’s the lesson here. WAY too much business for me on this shit. I don’t believe any of it. All biz, every one of those gaff matches, from TAR to now. And yeah I was involved in some biz on those.
