Is this on your favorite bar cue? slip-ons? uncapped. ivory is my preference.
I don't recall ever hitting a cue with a uncapped ferrulle.
It seems like the replys prefer a uncapped ferrule.......
From those with experience with uncapped ferrules........what is the difference...hit...deflection...etc.???
What's the difference? Is an uncapped ferrule an open sleeve that surrounds the tenon, leaving exposed wood at the top under the tip, while a capped ferrule caps the tenon, leaving only ferrule material under the tip? That's what I'm inferring from this thread, but am not sure.what do you guys prefer? capped or uncapped?
