Filler is a tool

There’s been guys cheering & celebrating in our faces for 7 years before this and I had no problem with it. This young man is over the top though. To me, it makes it seem fake and corny.

Everyone is so hell bent on pool being the most boring game on earth. Calm down, it's entertainment.

Right on Cleary.

Watch euro dart videos guys. They make darts seem more exciting than the super bowl. They turn a terribly boring game into a spectator sport.

Maybe if our guys showed shared some of Fillers passion and excitement instead of sitting there like gloomy gus's they would win a little more often.

Agree. I also don't see anything particularly wrong with Filler showboating. Is it tasteful, not particularly, but who really cares. Pool really is insanely boring, and this is coming from an avid player and fan. The Mosconi Cup is the only event that I watch except for when someone I know goes deep in the DCC, then I buy the Accustats stream.

I second the prescription for a chill pill.

His celebrating is no more crazy than what the NFL players do. Oh, wait, that also looks like a circus.

I love how Hatch is making fun of them by celebrating the same way LOL

How I wish Earl was playing this year. Imagine this kid Filler getting under Strickland's skin at the always civil Mosconi Cup?

Xanax wouldn't be able to help Earl.

Hatch should focus on improving his terrible positional play and tighten his belt.

I was actually thinking that if Earl played him, Filler would be limping back to his seat or trying to remove Earl's cue splinters from his head.

He reminds me of some league players.

Pool is boring to most outsiders who don't know the nuances of the game, this kid makes it more interesting imo.

Now obviously apples to bowling balls, but look at the UFC, Mcgregor acting the fool has brought lots of cash into the sport, people like or hate him, but still talk about him.

Boring ass chess(which I love), another person comes to mind, think of Bobby Fisher, his antics set him apart, Love or hate the guy.

If anything I wanna see Filler celebrate after every shot and really get the Americans pissed off. lol

if there was ever a time to punch someone, when Earl was playing 14.1 and that dumbF*** that got pissed and started throwing balls, cause strickland mis called the 10 ball, that would have been the time to punch someone. Earl wouldn't do shit, which is why he had to always have hired muscle for money matches back in the day.
One thing to break your own cue stick, but start throwing balls on someone elses pool table...

Matchroom

From what I understand is that Matchroom encourages this type of behavior. They want the players to be animated. From an observational standpoint, you can tell when a player is forcing the emotional Rah -Rah Rah, just not the normal etiquette with in tournaments. Other players are more fluid with their emotions and with the encouragement of Matchroom are letting it loose.
This is not a norm so there will always be an off balance.

Filler is an excellent player. He's the kind of guy that is difficult to like....
... unless he's on your side

Of course they want this type of behavior. It’s entertaining! There investing a ton of money into this event and they need to put on a show.

The kid was a hopeful, just a couple of years ago and now look at him...living it.

Leave the boy alone. Let him have his damn moment.

Many other sports see opponents celebrate the other's success.

I'll give him credit - he made sure to shake Dennis's hand first thing after winning the whole thing.
