The worst movie on my all time list is WEEKEND AT BERNIES. A terrible stupid movie, terrible plot, overacting, just a waste of time. Last night watched pool hall junkies, and it goes right at the number 2 spot. Of course the pool scenes were ok, but the plot sucked, the acting sucked, never heard of the main guy, johnny, probally never acted again after that turkey.

But of course CHRISTOPHER WALKEN was great. He’s great in any role. Started with the deer hunter, when he got his Oscar. I will always watch him. Chaz palminteri was good too, too bad hes gone already.

Should have played pool for 1.5 hours instead of watching the movie.
 
I think Pool Hall Junkies needed a bit better editing to make a better movie. Some of the scenes seem to end or start in not good places. For example the part where the kid finds out his manager hid the pro tour letter from him, went from finding out to flipping out in a really odd way.
 
Pool Hall Junkies is a movie. It has entertaining moments. It is not an actual depiction of a pool tournament.

Trashing the few investors willing to make a pool movie is awkward.

Mars Callahan wrote, directed and produced music for the movie.

And the Deer Hunter was fine if you are at least 60. Howard the Duck gives WaterWorld the 7 and games on the wire. But they have to be 1 and 2.

Worst movie ever can't have any good acting or scenes. PHJ has some of both.

Many years ago we went to the 50 cent triple feature in Sacramento during the summer. (air conditioning) Often on the bill was a Swedish science fiction movie. Apparently the editor put the scenes together in random order. The dubbing was remarkable. Sometimes those Scandinavians overdo the artsy.
 
Pool Hall Junkies The Animated Series could be even funnier because censorship is limited.

Pool Hall Junkies TAS would be more about
the grind between staying a local hustler versus putting up the money to go
on tour. The mysterious promoter would be caricatures of Emily Frazer and Karim.

all swedish sci-fi movies are B-movies, without exception. so i think artsy in that case was low budget/competence

Sorry but Rotten Tomatoes rating of "good" movies is often way off so .......
 
I really disliked The Baltimore Bullet when I first saw it. It had a great deal of build-up in the pool press and then it seemed just bad. Years later it didn't seem so bad.

Another pool movie that was not received well is Kiss Shot with Whoopie Goldberg. You may get a glimpse of me in the tournament scene. It gives me a Bacon Number of 2.
