First post on AZ: Mosconi Cup

I'm so excited for this year's MC!! I like that we have, what the world considers, underdogs on the team. I think it'll be one of the best MC's in history. :)

See you at Big Stix in a few weeks!

I believe! In all you players and mark. This is gonna be a cup to remember. Good luck and have fun with it!

totally cool of you to take your time & fill us in, Justin. thank you & welcome!

hey, rumour has it that Team EUR is a little nervous about the New Young Guns - so yáll go kick some English Arse!!!!

I once watched a special showing of Pink Panther cartoons here...
...3 hours of them, we all stayed for the duration....never knew there
were so many.

Thanks for posting that match. You know, Justin can shoot very well. I do wish he'd speed up his game a bit though. Nobody likes slow players...

Thanks for posting a very positive post right out of the box. Good luck to you and the rest of team U.S.A. YOU---CAN---DO---IT. Johnnyt

I have been reading some of the threads on here about the Mosconi Cup. We have lots of support meaning the U.S. Team. Europe is tough and we have definitely have to show up to win but we're far from being huge underdogs. IMO Darren Appleton is the best player for Team Europe but I also think we have the best player in the world right on our side SVB.

Mark Wilson: Probably knows more about the game than anyone on our team and has been playing longer than any of us have been alive. I know for fact every one on our team and even most top players respect his opinions on and off the table.

SVB: What can you say about him. Only the best rotation player in the world right now for my money.

Justin Hall: Derby City All Around Champion and almost won it back to back. Tons of heart and doesn't play all the big events and still wins more than his share. My boy we got way back since we were 10.

Corey Deuel: most experienced player on our team. I've played him a lot learned a lot just watching him. Sees shots top players don't even look at. Very creative. One of US top 9 ball players for a long time.

John Schmidt: Only ran 400 balls 3 times in straight pool. Like 5 people in history have done that. U.S. Open 9 ball winner. He's a great team player and gets along good with everyone on our team.

Me: I promise you all I am practicing playing tournaments trying to play tough games to be ready for this this year. I can guarantee you I want to win this as bad as anyone. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure I am 1000% ready to come time to play.

I think it's going to be the best Mosconi Cup yet. And the more support we have the more that's gonna fire us up. I GUARANTEE we will give 100%. Whatever happens happens but we don't think we're underdogs.

Thanks everyone that has our back we won't let you down. By the way this is Justin Bergman. Let's go USA!

Great post Justin, I love your confidence! That's what it takes to win at Pool. Self confidence is huge, it gives you the ability to go for the tough shots that can win matches. Whereas players lacking in confidence will pass that shot up or miss it.

I also like the make-up of Team USA and have known Mark for well over 30 years. He is not only one of the most knowledgeable people in our sport, he is a class guy as well. I know he has and will continue to do a good job in leading the team. Make no mistake, Team Europe will be listed as the favorite and well they should be. But sometimes underdogs do surprising things. I know none of you guys will quit and will give it all you got.

Good luck to you on this adventure you are undertaking. It will be one of the highlights of your pool career. The crowd will be noisy and maybe even a little crazy, but a man like you who has been down in the trenches can handle all that. Kind of like playing in some redneck bar in the deep South.

I fully expect you and your teammates to do well in December. I wish I could be there with you, but I expect to be back on board next year when you guys are the defending champions!

Great to see you posting JB. Awesome post.

PS: I am in genuine shock that this thread made it this far in without a troll or naysayer. :D

Nice 1st Post !

Justin Bergman,

Nice post & welcome to AZ !
All the best to you and team USA at Blackpool this year ! :)

Welcome to the AZ forum, Justin.

If ANYONE in the world hasn't seen Justin Bergman play.....do yourselves a favor. Go to Accu-Stats and buy the 2012 Southern Classic 1P matches from Tunica.

I sat in the front row and witnessed THE BEST 1P play of my life. JB was like an anaconda. He slowly strangled Corey Deuel and Francisco Bustamante to death. It was almost surreal.

I've never seen a pro player look so defeated as Busty did in the finals. His spirit looked absolutely crushed. He literally threw in the white towel at the end. He just couldn't take anymore.

You owe it to yourself to watch how this guy moves.

I know the Mosconi Cup is 9B, but I've seen all the players and Justin Bergman can outmove, outshoot, and flat run over anyone Europe throws out there.

"The Kid" is seasoned beyond his years.

Welcome to the forum Justin.

Whether you are underdogs or not one thing is for certain a lot of people are looking forward to seeing you play in the MC. I would love to see you and SVB match up in a doubles match, I expect the intensity you both have at the table would make you tough against anyone Europe throws at you.

Good luck over there.

I was thinking the same thing but its good too see a lot of positive we need too be behind our team

Ok, who typed this for you? Real pool players don't type that well lol j/k

Good luck and represent the US!!

I was thinking the sane thing :D
Great player and a great attitude as well. I'm glad he didn't take the Danny Harriman approach . Now if we could get John on here to tell us about being sh1t off a cliff and eaten by a goat or vise versa
Great 1st post and best of luck to JB and team
