I agree. I purchased quite a bit of pool literature this year and "Banking with the Beard" is the purchase that I am most satisfied with. Grady Mathews gave it a nice compliment when I saw him in Mobile last year. He said, "It costs $30, but it is worth $100."Mr. Wilson said:I consider the book the best pool related purchase I made last year.

I hope there is another book on technique from Freddy in the plans.
Nostroke said:If u find the BD or IP article on Piggy Banks, he goes into the method. I would post it but i paid little attention to it as there are about 70 steps between where i am and there that i need to gain an idiots knowledge of first.
Eric. said:Thanks, Nostroke. I've used this to twist/pinch banks. I was wondering if there was sometihing more to say about it.

GEORGE WALKER--BLAST FROM THE PAST--Did he still own the STARDUST when you were in action with him. Was his tall, leggy, flashy, blonde, wife/girlfriend/***** still with him? Don't feel like the lone ranger about getting 'jarred'. If you drank anything and didn't have someone protecting your interests there was a real good chance your ability to compete would be compromised. I played at the STARDUST a lot as a teenager (apprx 61 thru 64) and it was a TRIP. Back then George couldn't play but he would bet HIGH and, more often than not, play a little better. As you know CHI, for a number of years, was one of the most treacherous places in the world to play. I beat a thug (RK) and his last $40 barrel was air. My thug was a stone bad a$$ and RK knew he wouldn't like it. He settled up by giving me 10k 7mg bennies. To make a long story short I was too chickensh-t to sell dope. Took em back to the western burbs and passed em out to my pals by the handfull. It was amazing how communicative and friendly everybody was for a while. It even brought tears of joy to my mother. I dropped about 7 or 8 one day and we talked for HOURS. Seems like you and I played some cheap 9ball at a bowling alley before 66. I think I was short and had to pull up after a few games. Anyway, good to see you still kicken.freddy the beard said:My friend, and fellow Bank Pool Hall of Famer, Truman Hogue would lynch me if I turned his "wrist twist" loose on one of these forums. Sorry fellas. Maybe Cross Side Larry can tell what he learned from Poochy. However, I must first add this. Poochy (Harry Sexton) was unbeatable in Flint MI., especially on a bar table, playing Nine-Ball. Bank pool was another story. I played Poochy bank pool in Chicago. I wasnt even at the top of my game. He broke me, but only after his backer George Walker laced my coffee with Hyacin and "Jarred" me. Prior to the Jar, I was pounding on the Pooch. Him banking 35 balls in a row,is, in my opinion a very dim possibility. In practice, throwing the balls on the table and keeping the pockets open, the most I ever banked was 26.

Old school pool. Bank on, brother.
