Yes it is. It is Cortland Linen.It is not Irish linen.
They used 9 thread & 12 Thread .I have a spool of each.
The 400 yard is 12 thread & the 500 yard in the cue gallery is 9 thread.

Also, I'm quite surprised that 4-500 yrds can only make 8 wraps (if I read correctly earlier in this thread).

Either way, this item is hot! Something you see about.... never.

Both George Balabushka and Gus Szamboti prefered to use Cortland #9 which was white with Green Speck.

The 12 Thread is similar in Diameter to today's Lines
