Who are we kidding?!?! This thing will be for sale again in a month. And he'll advertise it as the best playing cue he's ever owned and that he's heartbroken to have to sell it. Then a few months will go by, and we'll see a new thread in the Cue Gallery section.

It'll be a thread about a new DZ cue made for Jeff Duke that is his all-time prized possession and that he will NEVER, EVER sell. Then two months later, he'll sell it.

The cycle will repeat itself a few months later and continue for however long Jeff is on God's green Earth.

Some things just never change.

Actually, I feel bad for DZ.
He accomodated you in making this realy nice cue. Finished the whole thing in a few weeks. The cue is picture and constructively perfect.
Yet, you put it in the market b/c you had no reason to keep it and/or you're really not good at this game?
 
Why do you guys have to be so mean.... so cruel.... Leave the man be to sell his cue(s).
 
Actually Joey, the way I read it, Jeff was in a financial bind and needed
the cash. That was the main reason for putting up the cue for sale.
I think that Jeff was just trying to justify it to himself by putting down
the other reasons. I truly believe that he will never sell this cue because
he wants to, It would be because he has to. Just my 2 cents. BTW, may
I ask what Jeff has done to deserve all of this crap? So what If he had
changed his mind in the past. I have felt that way before also. Were all
just human after all. In my opinion Jeff is a good guy and doesnt deserve
all of this b.s. Whoops, am I gonna catch flak now too?
 
I am currently in a financial bind. I need money fast, quick, and in a hurry. I have thought about listing my DZ and my Carmelli. I have been losing sleep over this. One day I have to and next day I won't/just can't. I understand needing money. I can't come to terms selling either cue, when in reality I really, really should. I understand both sides of the fence. It's impossible to make a decision.

So I concur with Jeff not WANTING yet NEEDING to sell his cue for whatever reason. I'm glad he didn't and I hope I can come up with something so I don't go into tears selling one of my prize possesions.

This is just my .08 Yes it's more than a regular .02 but it's needed to cover the cost of inflation and the price of gas right now!! ;) Good god it's up to $4.05 in rochester, NY and it has NEVER been this high!!!!

You couldn't be more correct Dom...And thank you for sticking up for me! In ALL HONESTY, this is a cue that FOR ME plays very well, and I KNOW that I've had some great players in the past that I have unfortunately sold, and I regret it every day I think about it! Hopefully I NEVER have to regret selling this one, and I try my hardest to put money back weekly as so I never have to even try again. My former attempt was out of weakness but it won't happen again hopefully. THANKS DOM!!!!!

Thanks Rob, I agree with you. I thought I NEEDED to sell off one of my cues to cover something but I got it handled and then some! I'll tell ya what bud...IF you ever decide to sell your DZ, hit me up first or call me and I'll help you out if I can, and I'll even offer you a buy-it-back option when you can do it. Deal??
