For the guys who play with glasses

Decot used to have an adjustable nose pad system on their glasses. I thought it would be a great idea and it might be for some.

I made myself crazy by adjusting the glasses up and down like a nutjob. Finally I called Decot and begged them to trade that set of frames out for their standard non adjustable frames.

Decot is now under new ownership and I have no idea if they still make those or not.

I switched all my eyewear to an online firm called Zenni. The cost for glasses from them is about 1/4 of the cost at most brick & mortar locations.

All my glasses are made with Trivex lens material and Zenni has been great to me..

Eyewear is grossly overpriced IMO!

I play with these in 1.5 power. $15 on Amazon

Contact lenses. And never looked back. I’m lucky I’m 78 and don’t have cataracts.

Bingo.
We have a winner.
I wear progressive lenses and have an astigmatism.
With contacts, specifically made for distance, I am 20/20 at the table.
Close up, need readers.

Contact lenses here as well. I wore progressive lenses in my glasses and now wear multi focal contact lenses. They are great.

I switched to wearing my active glasses full time about 2 years ago. They sit really close to my face and wrap around so I don't need the tall lenses. Also a lot lighter and more comfortable than my "regular" glasses were.

This may not be new but I’ve never seen them before. Turns your daily glasses into pool glasses that sit higher on your face. For 7 bucks I’ll give them a try. anyone out there use these? I might have to get pool glasses at some point.
I got lasik in 2012, prior to that for a couple of years I would play with my glasses. I used one of the holders, the strings that attach to the glasses... I would tighten it to the back of my head and that would hold the glasses in place even when I bent over.

I'll be curious as to how you like these, so I hope you give us an update once you've used them a while.

I used to have a dedicated pair of glasses for pool, I got them probably 8-10 years ago. My eyes have had lots of changes since then, I was going to get a new dedicated pair when I changed prescriptions last summer. Sadly, the costs have risen substantially, and my prescription has also changed, so I can't get simple (cheap) ones. Add to that, I have glaucoma in one eye, had surgery to slow/stop it, supposed to have been successful, but that adds more complication. My regular glasses are expensive enough, sadly.

In case it helps anyone, I've been wearing these for a couple of years and they're my favorite pool glasses ever.

They sit high on my eyebrows, have no distracting rim, and they're really light. The do not seem super durable so they live in their case in my cue case unless I'm playing. I left a review on the site and you can see a picture of how high they sit. They look a little goofy but I've seen and worn stuff myself that was worse. :)

Wow. I have dedicated pool glasses, and the picture on your review looks really good! Nice find.
