It can't be my set up, it just can't be...I have Vista. Johnnyt

I also have Vista and I'm zipping from post to post, thread to thread and forum to forum at warp speed with absolutely NO hangups or freezing.

Look elsewhere for your solution. Clear/clean cache. Lower Security settings blocking popups and such.

(do I sound as if I know what I'm talking about)

It might be the humidity. I know it is HOT is Florida but very humid. I am in Arizona where it is VERY HOT but am having no problems. I think it is because it is a dry heat. :D

BVal <----staying inside because it is 113 today :)

I'm running vista no problems except to much dust on my system need to clean again.

You might have to many programs running in the back ground. look at your start up menu, if you now computers you can shut things of in msconfig or throgh sytem configuration manager. But you need to be carefull.

Look at the lower right corner and see how many programs are running right now. Remember Vista is hungry for resources this is why most dont like it. My system is freshly installed only the minimum is running or installed right now for me.

The only issiue I am having is my cordless mouse freezes up I have to many usb that need high power and dont like powered usb hubs,

Froze up on me for about 5 minutes last night around 11:00pm, that would be 10:00am for the east coast crowd. Do the math for your region. hehe!! That's the second time it's happened.

I have a PC that is hooked directly to Cable. It is for the most part unusable it is so slow. However the Wireless network that I set up with this same cable works great. That's all I use now. Thats ridiculous isnt it?

My only point is these friggin machines are impossible to figure out.

I have roadrunner set-up to a wireless network. Fifteen years ago I would have bet you I'd never own a computer. About ten years ago my wife bought me WebTV to track the many Racing Greyhounds I owned, instead of being two weeks behind all the time. Now we have seven computers in the house and #8 a Dell notebook coming UPS tomorrow. All the kids are out of the house, just the wife and me. I think it's time to donate some of them to a needy person or cause. Johnnyt
