What do you guys think about making a few permanent stickies, such as "What Tip Shape Do you Like?", "What Tip Do You Use?", "What's the Best Cue Under $200?", "What Type of Shaft Do You Use?", "How Do You Clean a Shaft?", "Who's our Favorite Player?"

These seem to be very common questions and would save new members from having to use he search features and older members from seeing the same question come up all the time.

Just a suggestion.

Odd...I was just thinking of suggesting that they clean out some of the sticky's. Most posts deserve to live for a while and then die a natural death.

i'm new here and dont want to get out of line but threads are cool its what makes boards in the first place, sometimes the repetive discussion gets old but sometimes it creates more conversation and different opinions. I think a cue forum would be in order it would seperate things and organize things a bit. but i'm new and dont want to upset anyone, its a great forum overall, i have been on various forums for 10 years, seen some good ones fall apart some get to many sub-forums, and some stay healthy for years like it is here

I think that's a great idea. Or, if that would result in too many stickies, then maybe we could have a new forum section called FAQ's. (Frequently Asked Questions's )

There are way too many sticky threads already. The threads generating the most discussion will always stay on page 1, and, with very rare exceptions, thereads not generating much discussion don't belong on Page 1.

I hate sticky threads, and would love to see the complete elimination of them.

If only we could find someone to maintain the FAQs. It could work quite a bit better than the standard FAQ, with the "accepted" text as the first item in the thread and then further points and related questions as responses. From time to time the editor could combine the recent postintgs into the accepted text and clean them out.

I don't like "stickies" either.

Why not make a sticky poll asking whether there should be more stickys?

My vote fwiw is for one or two stickys at most allowed. They are quite distracting.

i think azb desperatly needs a "cues" sub forum, there is a "cues" section of the forum with 3 sub forums but they are for machinery/gallery/ask the cue maker, why not add a 4th section for just cues in general and there could be 3-5 sticky's about things like best tips best cue under $200 etc., and they could also add a 5th sub forum to cues entitled equipment which would be everything else other than cues

threads about cues being in their own sub forum would allow more room for general threads in the main forum, the more diverse the forum is the more it will grow, it has evolved so much in the past couple of years and hopefully will go beyond that in the next few

i also think there needs to be a strategy/technique/how would u play this sub forum as well and not just a "straight pool" forum

Suggestion: Organizing the tournament thread by location or date. Or better yet a calendar. I get too tired to even want to go near the tourny thread sometimes. It could be like the yellow book of pool events.

I was about to chime in with some tap-taps, but I just looked at the threads on the first two pages, and I think it would be enough to just give Mr. Trotter his own forum. Or maybe his own Internet. Far, far away.

At least the birthday messages are down.
