Fouls don't count, 1pocket. How much is it worth?

I've been offered a game. If I play this game it's going to be for a substantial amount of cheese. I'm not going to get into who offered it to me but he's an excellent player. I don't play bad myself but I'd probably need 10-5 or so playing normally. The game he offered is 9-7 and my fouls don't count. I've never played that way before so I'm not sure how heavy that weight is?

Thoughts?

Am I missing something? So, your failure to hit a ball to rail does not deduct ball count from your side ??

If u feel u need 10/5 regular, then u got no shot at this game.

I don't think it is that obvious if you don't have to spot a ball after a foul and the cue ball stays where it is. If none of your fouls count but your opponents do you could keep freezing him to the back of the stack and he would be in a constant trap. if he has a ball close to his hole you could just roll the cue ball behind his ball. I don't see how it would work if one ball left and he leaves it hanging in his pocket. I mean you couldn't make it in his pocket and foul so one of each spots because you wouldn't have to spot one. I guess you just lose that game.

I love when stuff like this comes up and people comment, that have never seen much. They really show what they truly know about pool, gambling, matching up.

Fouls don't count

Almost impossable to beat. Every time. Giving up the balls is not a factor.
Nick :)

Depends on the players.... entirely.

Most of the strong shots in one pocket come from moving balls towards your hole or clearing balls.. You don't really gain much by not striking a ball except getting through the inning.

If you need 10-5 then I'm going to assume you don't play one hole that strong and therefore, would most likely not understand the proper implementation of this criteria...

Huge spot! Take it. Every chance to get take advantage of it. Keep soft kicking up against the stack and leave him buttered up against it. You don't need a rail and now you got him always trying to defend it. Assuming you can play and make a decent amount of balls your good. Keep it tight. Don't open up stack and give him chance to make big packages.

ONE WORD OF WARNING. If you don't know the game and where to move to...then move on and forget it.

when all the balls are uptable, shoot the cb straight into the pocket.

Since you cannot foul- all shots are legal- the spotter will have to shoot from the ball return.

You got 'um now.

It is huge if you move good at one pocket already. If you don't move good it is next to nothing. I used to get 10-3 and my fouls don't count against a very good shortstop. I don't think I ever won and must have donated that way at least eight to ten times.

With me it just made the game take longer and I wish I could replay it now as I should have learned a lot. When I played he just kept moving balls to his side no matter where I left him. By the end of each game I fnailly failed to leave him safe or he banked on in and then he was off to the races with all the balls in front of his hole.

Since its basically been said already its like this
.If u put a good player in a good safe he will just shoot out of it..That's why he is a good player..Yes it is a big spot but it is a totally different game..If u know how when and how to use it it is huge..If u don't..well see jumpinjoe for exhibit A.

Looks like you will wake the dead and help a homeboy out.

Know any other Knock knock jokes?

Rough out there for a playa these days...lol

You can't keep leaving him against the stack if you have to make 7. There isn't going to be a stack.

Are you capable of running out an open rack? Or is it more likely you would get 2 or 3 balls? Eventually you are going to have to shoot. Your opponent probably only needs 1 or 2 innings to get out with an open table, so choose your safeties wisely.
