I just got this email from the IPT. Just thought I'd forward it to anyone who intends to watch tonight but hasn't signed up yet. I figured everyone already knew about this but pay special attention to the part in bold. :)

The much anticipated match between Earl Strickland and Johnny Archer airs live tonight on the International Pool Tour web site. The match is absolutely free for anyone. Simply sign up as a basic member, which takes just a minute, and you will have access to the live stream. There is no financial obligation whatsoever and unlike other free offers, we DO NOT require any credit card information. However, don't wait until the last minute to sign up, even if you only plan to watch a little of the match. Depending on the speed of your email servers, the confirmation email that we send to you at the end of the registration process may take from a minute to and hour or more. I just signed up for a membership. I did flinch just a bit giving my personal information though since I remembered that a major source of KT's income is reported to be the selling of mailing lists.

You gave them your real information? I have a spam-collecting email address for just such purposes.

Their other videos aren't working for me, so I fear this isn't going to work either.
 
I wouldn't give KT the right time of day, even for a free video. I'd rather pay action report.

i have made a ton of $$$ over the years in that biz as well, its free $$$. yeah i'm the bad guy and the reason people got millions of pieces of junk mail(credit card offers) sorry bout that, not email from 97 to 2004. I got out of the selling side of data then as the market dried up. I buy data from banks etc every week. The reason its so profitable is you pay once and sell it many times as possible, unlike a car lot where they have to buy a car everytime they sell one, in data just copy the file send an email and get a check over and over again.


yes this a good way to harvest data, everyone who will watch is a potential customer for 10 different billard supply stores, cue makers, manufactors. Its gonna be good data to sell again and again, thus it turns into smap, but since its opt-in the Govt cant do a thing about it. If you dont want spam and want to watch set up a onetime email account. there i'm not so bad afterall

I've been on their mailing list for over a year and a half with no problems to date.

Credit Card info....no way!

Glad to see someone I like getting $ for it, I guess! I disagree with the principle, but I guess it generates lotsa of money for a lot of different types busiinesses...
 
Selling data/mailing lists has been around long before the computer ever was thought of. I made and sold silver, 14kt gold, and plated jewelry mail order in the early 1960's. A lot of it was sold from mailing lists that I bought and resold when they got cold. Johnnyt
 
No way in hell I'd give Kevin my e-mail or mailing address...but against my better judgement I did sign up for tonights broadcast. So, if you see "Harry Palms" from "2424 Showdatazz Blvd, Iowa City, Iowa" logged in...say HI!

kevin trudeau has contributed 5 million dollars more to pool then the action report is one reason to support ipt. Thats 5 million that would not have reached pool without kt you say thanks and watch the match
 
does anyone know at what time it starts?

email says 8pm eastern, website 7pm central,

i'm in GMT+1, so wizkids at what time does it start for me? :eek: :confused:


edit; ok within 4 hours :D (sorry forgot to ask the q to the smartest man on the planet; Mr. Google :D )
