Tired of looking at chats where Cosmo8 AKA Marty Herman takes over the chat with his delusional BS. He has been kicked off of AZ, most of the North East tours as well as the NE HOF. Thanks that he is too cheap to pay for PPV streams at least We don't have to pay for his egotistic nonsense!

really a crap post..no need for it..btw what would happen if you played marty,would you win?his knowledge is real.i dont care how volatile he is..basically a harmless guy who contributes in his own way ad actually very entertaining

I'm sure Mr Herman doesn't need me to stick up for him, he seems like a pretty strong willed, independent man but I don't recall him being rude or personally insulting to anyone that didn't deserve it. As for being a know it all I've also never thought his comments weren't based on some lengthy personal experiences or knowledge of our game.

I also don't often pay for streams myself but I have paid ustream their monthly fee to free myself of the commercials and made a few donations to POVPOOL. I might have to re-think this when I retire and I have to watch the cash flow but some of the ppv's are hard to buy in advance because you really don't know what you're going to get. Threads about choppy streams and so-so matches are more common than not and time zone differences make it even more difficult to pay in advance.

Lastly, I've read about some history attributed to Mr. Herman but I think we all probably have some history that we have to own. For me, at this point in time, I look forward to seeing him online and reading what he thinks.

With all respect to your opinion, everyone gets the same pass from me until I get burned or they carry their positions too far and take off on someone that truly doesn't deserve it or is not capable of defending themselves.

Until I find out differently, cosmo is ok with me. You are too and now that you've chosen to out someone else I'll be interested to see how you differ from your target.

Actually its a great post and if Wedge really spoke his mind about Marty like others have he would have already gotten life threating messages from Marty.
His knowledge? Marty sucks and cant beat hardly anybody and there is no way to find out if he can beat anyone as he is barred from every tournament and poolrooms on the east coast. When was the last time have you or anyone seen him out in public or any tournaments. Just think about that and there are the answers to a lot of questions.
I geuss the next question you would have is can I beat him? Well I not only would play him and rob him blind and I would give Marty a ton of weight and still heist him as many other pros and even average players would but it would never happen as there would be several factors.
First off Marty is real nitty and wouldn't bet a dollar. Second Marty doesn't have any money to bet and lastly any match with him could only happen at his house as he is probably barred from every poolroom within 1000 miles of Boston.
Bottom line is a lot of us know him and a lot of others don't and I wish I was one of the people that didn't know of him.

Best thing to do in a chat for a free pool stream....

1) Call your friends and tell them it's going down....

2) Go to the Liquor Store and buy whatever liquor is suitable to your palet as a shot...

3) Get online and call and get your friends online....

4) Wait for Marty....

5) Every time Marty is an ass to someone or spews some BS type "DRINK" into the chat and take a shot.....

After the first 3-4 games Marty is actually entertaining and has a use for the first time in... ever........ Be careful tho if it's going to be a long night.. You may want to spring for the liter size of whatever poison you prefer....

Let me know when the next free stream is and I'll try and pick up a bottle of JTS Brown.. No Glass.. No Ice... We are gonna be doing a shit ton of shots so it's not needed anyway!!!!!

I couldn't agree more! ANYONE that has had any kind of dealings with MH would tell you that he's a slimey p.o.s. AND he's had that reputation for over 30 years in the New England area and probably anywhere else he's ever been! Enough said, let's move on....P.S...I also wish I was one of the people that didn't know him.

The first time i saw him play in a tournament, he got into a huge argument with the sweaters-Bridgeport 1993 or so.
 
Great thread. Way to call someone out who can't defend himself. Marty is harmless. Most of the time it's someone else who sets him off in the chats. I've seen it happen. But he loves pool so why not just let him be him and enjoy the pool..
 
Different strokes for different folks, but it's always been a mystery to me why anyone would read the chat.
