Free signed Rambow

Here's something funny . . . I think I received a free signed Rambow cue!!! :clapping:

I recently bought a bunch of old cues out of Chicago. Burried in the box along with 20+ Titlists, and a bunch of old full spliced house cues, was one full spliced cue with a leather wrap, and a fancy signature on the forearm and initials on the shaft. I instantly thought Rambow, but the signature and flourishes weren't like what I was used to seeing, so I put it aside and haven't thought about it in the last week. Well, today I was doing a little browsing and found this picture of a Rambow cue made for Ernie Presto that has the exact same flourishes and caligraphy style. This, along with some other clues, makes me 99.9% certain that this is also a Rambow cue! What a nice surprise burried in a box of old cues! I'll be sending pics in for authentication, but here is one of the signature on my cue. Compare it to the famous Ernie Presto cue pictured below . . . Overall, the rest of my cue looks almost exactly like this one, that is also a confirmed Rambow.

Very nice find indeed !!
Is it for sale ??

Not likely since the real coincidence is that I have recently been actively looking to buy a signed Rambow to go with the un-signed one that I already have. Let's see what happens after it is or is not authenticated...

Nice find! Thats awesome. Now may I ask what the value of the cue is?
Just curious as to how big a jackpot you hit. Thanks, Dom.

Outstanding find. I would be very surprised if it is NOT a Rambow......appears the sig's are done by hand to a set of standards that Brunswick wanted.

Ask Nick Serdula - he's now the resident Rambow expert...

Now just send me a free titlist! I don't need the Rambow! :p

Very nice find....

wow! with that luck be careful that your opponents don't get all the rolls for a few months... But that is still pretty awesome!

That looks like a billiard cue!

Now who would have done that in Chi town. Paul Rubino or Mark at Pool Table Majic may have a beter idea.
Sweet cue! You must have some good carma there. Authinticated because no Rambo signature could be noth of 5 beans. Closer to 7 if Rambo had signed the cue also!
Nick :)

I'm 100% sure that it's a Rambow but in these parts, Deno is the man to talk to, and you can bet I'll be speaking with him tomorrow. It is a pool cue rather than a billiard cue though. The pin in the shaft is an indicator of a very early Rambow cue.
I should go out and buy a lottery ticket . . . ;)

You're the lucky one, you aceepted his kind offer!

It's absolutely Rambow's handwriting. I had one he made in 1964 and it also said "Made by Rambow" in addition to my name. He probably started signing them later in life - maybe after he retired from Brunswick?
