Just thought I would throw out a post . Just a early announcement
alot have been asking about the streaming . We will be there for the
whole show and hopefully some action .Will be streaming two feature
and final tables .Also if any action pops up we will catch that as much
as humanly possible .If you can't make it to this great event I urge you
to tune in on friday .You can also go to my Ustream site and ad yourself
as a follower and will be ready for the show.I will probably have a few
guest commentators ,I am no pro commentator (just a good talker) .
If there is one tournament I could make it to or watch this summer

This is going to be a very busy weekend for us streamer junkies. I'll have 1 or 2 on my pc and 1 or 2 on my 2 laptops.:D Johnnyt
 
sorry guys we are starting slow

For the 1st time my old trusty PC DIED !!!!
So I am grabbing my other one real fast
IF I am not back up tonight I will restream
some stuff and be back at 12 tomorrow/saturday
 
It's 5:30 AM

Brought the computer and gear home only to find my other
computer does not support my video card . I stayed up this
late trying to find a solution :confused:
I apologize to the streamaholics but this one may not happen.Seems
like I cant catch a break these days. I will go check with Kim and Riki
tomorrow and see about shooting the finals for a possible restream .
If anyone knows Riki or is going up there tomorrow let him know
There will be some good future shows I will post up for you guys
and if you are within driving distance its worth the drive to come to
this great event .
Tonight was truely one of the worst nights I have ever had doing
this !! What's so bad is its one of the best tournaments I have been
to !!

Sorry to hear about this. But here a rep for your attempt. Maybe someone will post pictures of the Tournament and Cue and Case Exhibit.

except for my prayers :smile:
It's a bad thing out of my control but it happens .To do the type of
quality work I like to do I have to have about a day of peaceful enviroment
to set up the software the way I want it ,let alone completely reloading
windows and wiping the drives. I am trying to get in touch with Kim and
go film the finals tomorrow .That way I can restream them or just put them
in HQ on you tube.
It's truely a blessing to have friends who have understood and lended a
ear . I was more than upset last night and the last thing I needed was some
of the critisizm and unsolicited advice I got . I just hope that if this ever
happens to any other streamers that they are lucky enough to have all
the good people in thier world like I do that far out way the yuk :smile:

I was there the whole weekend. Matt is TOP SHELF. :D

I think he may have gotten some VERY GOOD FILM of some matches that you are REALLY going to want to see. It's too bad his computers crashed but I've been around lots of computers in my time and they are bound to break at one time or another. At least he's not blaming the crash on North Korea. :thumbup:

It was great fun hanging out with you after I got spanked at the tournament. We really saw a lot of GREAT POOL. I may write up a report on my trip if I get the time this afternoon.

I remember being in one of TAR's free streams at the DCC and the players that had said they were going to match up, decided not to. Again, this was a free stream, not PPV, and yet someone had the nerve to sit in the chat room and literally complain that TAR had wasted their time and they were angry about it. It was impossible to explain to them that if they were going to be angry at someone, they should be angry at the players and that TAR had nothing to do with it. If TAR had their way, the players would've matched up. :rolleyes:

We all know the saying "you can't please everyone" but there are times when you truly experience that saying. I've watched enough free and ppv streams to know how true that is. Some people and the way their minds work are simply amazing when it comes to their absurdity.

Matt, thank you for trying your best to bring the tournament to us live and thank you even more for staying the course and recording the matches to show at a later time. To anyone who has the audacity to criticize you for trying to give them something for free - fudge 'em! ;)
 
Been there man. It is a terrible spot and can drive you nuts. Don't sweat the negative comments. Streaming is easy until it isn't, then it is a stone cold b!tch.

There is a reason pro production companies have back ups for the back ups and trucks full of gear, a luxury people in our industry just can't afford in most cases. The ease of hooking up a camera to a laptop and getting a rudimentary stream running has fooled some people into thinking it is easy. Live production is unforgiving and sometimes Murphy has the last word. Keep up the good work and forget any haters.
 
I know how hard you tried to stream this, Matt. Thanks for your hard efforts. Any idea of when the vid's will be available?
