Well, I like to go with odds, kind of like betting in Vegas. Frost has won all the previous match ups. Shane was obviously younger then but he has to have it in the back of his head that he got beat by "The Freezer" each time they matched up this way.
I think it will be a bit closer this time, but I have to lean toward Scott winning this one. Besides, Scott lives here in Arizona so I have to root for the local guy.

SVB all the way.

Just curious, why do you think this? You know it's not playing on a 9ft. table? they are playing on a bar box.
I notice most people are picking Shane, obviously there must be some reason for these choices. Do you think he can win on heart alone? Shane plays great on a big table and can compete with the best of em. I would like to see why some folks are picking Shane, other than "he just plays better".
My choice was based on previous match ups, has Shane improved that much in the last year? I'm not saying Scott should blow him out of the water, I just think Shane concentrates more on big table play and this might be the difference.

Shane's one of the best bar box players on the planet. I voted "not sure" in the poll, simply because SVB has lost to Frost in the past. Had I not known that, I would have figured SVB was a sure thing to win.

I like Scott. I feel he's gonna be a more heady player. If he breaks as good as Shane as far as pocketing balls and getting a shot I think he will slightly out move Shane. We know he's gonna run out as good. Its a bar table. Just IMO

It all comes down to the break. I my limited knowledge I think shane has the best break. using the break rak for hours a day. There will not be a lot of missed balls, Scott will have the edge in safety play and kicking(that is how Alex beat Shane in Vegas with the big comeback), but Shane breaks the balls soooo good, I think he will have more big runs.

but whoever has the first shot will control the table nearly 100% of the time. I think Shane is the favorite in this but the fact Scott has winning(unbeaten?) record weighs heavily. I expect a great show and will root for the hometown hero.

Thats it in a nut shell. Its gonna be a "great" show. Probably the best one yet. I'm gettin the PPV fo sho.

I've stated before, it's probably a coinflip, but I gotta go with my horse (Shane helped me pay for my DCC trip with a win over Efren  ). Sure, that was 10ball on a 9foot Diamond, but I'm riding that horse till it bucks me :p

Interesting...

I have never seen Shane play in person, and I'm from AZ, so I'm going to call it for the Freezer.

I have played Scott a couple of times, and watched him on many other occasions, including his win in a one-pocket challenge match against Efren Reyes. I have seen him run racks of 9 on a big table with such ease, a bar box has to look like a Fischer Price toy to him.

I wanted to bet on Shane in this match, but Shane has a long flight till Taiwan ahead of him now, then play World Games for like 7-10 days (?), then back to the States and immidiately hit balls with Scott Frost, with a possible jet-lag.

I don't know if and how it will affect him, but I'll keep my $ in my pocket...

i think the matchup is going to be within 10-15 games. and it isss a coin flip for the most part. yes, shane is up over 30 g's on shane. but what it all comes down to, is there breaks and focus of the players. check the match up they had during the barbox championships in reno, shane barily won by the skin of his teeth, and had more forced errors then frost, but still won. Shane is being humble and calm in his interview. Shane is calm but very confident about this match up. he appears to want it slightly more to me. and when shane says hes after something, even in not so many words, 9-10 he get's it. only reason i give the slight edge to shane, i love frost's play, but i dont' think frost can take him down another time in a row. my money is on shane, not by much, but it is...

Here I am folks, the buddy who predicts a win by 30 from SVB. Im expecting all kinds of heat from this one, so send ur shots this way. First off, its just my opinion, and never said it looking for action with that line, so dont waste ur time guys. I know its a bold statement, and seemingly unsupported. thats why its called an opinion. everyone has one, right? i think shane is a much better player, on any table. and he has spent the last year calling out the best in the world, and has been pretty successful. That may give him the edge he didnt have the first couple times they played. i believe he will be more confident this time, and has much more experience than before. i think it will start off close, then shane will start walking away with it and finish up 30 or more. from what i've heard, and posts i've read, frost has not been doing so well on Diamond bar boxes lately. :D

i thought i would catch all kinds of heat from the betting gallery on this one....looking back, my prediction from a week before the match, was flawless, I have never made such a bold prediction and come so close to be exactly right. maybe i should gamble more LMAO
