(If these pics don't show up, I'll try to work on it. I'm not very good at this.)

You may wish to post more details about the cue. Specifications and price would help a lot. :)

Beautiful cue by the way. Are those ivory veneers??

If you hold the cursor over the image, use the last called IMG code. Copy and paste that into the body of the post and you should be good to go.

Welcome to the forum. I'd suggest accurate weights and diameters of each piece. As a new member, I'd ready the sticky post regarding an Escrow Service.

Good luck,
Chris

people are interested to know if its straight ? what does the butt and shaft weigh separate from each other. What diameter is the shaft at the ferrule. Nicks, dings or scratches. Ever been refinished. How much you are hope-ing to sell it for. You get the picture. By the way nice looking cue.

Who did the additional inlays in the butt? And when? Only one shaft? Is the shaft a black boar, or..?

Thanks for the help with the photos, the info, and the support!!! I have read the escrow sticky and am a fan, so thanks for that to.

I was planning to add a description when I posted the pictures originally but had to go out of town suddenly. Sorry for the delay. SO...

Like I said, it's an older (1990) 4 point Black Boar cue. It still has the original finish, Irish Linen wrap, and ivory insets. The shaft is Black Boar and is 12 3/4 mm tip. The whole cue is 18.9 oz. (I don't know the weights of each piece, but I'll find out when I get back in town.) I do only have the one shaft, though. All of the inlays are original to the cue...none were added later, so Tony did them all.

It's dead straight and true. It has been used and is 20 years old, so the finish isn't perfect anymore, but there are no major flaws in it. I'll try to take clearer pics when I get home and post them. (I'll also take pics with the caps off...just realized. Oops. :-) ) I believe the joint is a 5/16-14, but I'll confirm that later to.

I know the market is soft and now is not a good time to sell, but I can't play anymore (that means trades are out to), so it needs a good home. I'll just say $3500 or best offer and see if anyone likes the cue as much as I do. It really is a good-looking piece and plays really well.

Let me know what you think!

Very nice variation of the RS3 model. Are you the original owner and got this new from Tony 22 years ago?

Thanks! And no, it wasn't made for me. I bought it off of somebody in Maryland years ago because I loved the wood grain and it played really well for me.

such a beautiful cue.... wish I could buy it from you. looks like a real player! GLWS sir, be patient and Im sure you'll find the right buyer for the right price.

I have full back ground information on this cue from @1993.......

The cue was purchased from a guy at the social club in philly as a standard rs3, and had 1 shaft with it. The guy that bought the cue wanted to make it more unique, so he called Tony about working on the cue. The buyer drove the cue to Tony from PA, and spent the afternoon with him coming up with an agreeable inlay pattern to add to the backend. They designed the fleur de lis inspired barbell, with the surrounding dots.

Tony did the additional inlay work, built a 2nd shaft for it, and refinished/rewrapped the cue.

The cue was sold several years later, and I have no history after it was sold by my friend.

I hope this information is helpful, and that it verifies that Tony did all the work. So it's not all original, but it is all Black Boar.

Sweet.

That's how you do that. That's a great service right there Marcus (not to mention memory).

Sorry for the delayed response, and thanks for the info on the history!!! That sounds very similar to the background I got on the cue when I bought it, so I believe it's correct. I did not buy it directly from your friend, though, I don't think. I'm going on my terrible memory and the story that the guy who sold it me told.
