Thanks for the kind words, really appreciated. i dont want to praise my own church but there is no wrong on trying:). Have a nice day.

beautiful cue Al! just out of curiosity, is this cue located in the phillipines or the US currently?

Obviously your a craftsman by heart, and produce some of the most unique looking cues on the forum.Superb!!!

Obviously he's unoriginal & feels good about copying somebody else's designs. There's no craftsmanship, uniqueness nor heart involved. Just trying to ride another builder's skirt tales instead of manning up & creating something of his own.

nice

if you call that nothing fancy i would hate to see what you call a fancy cue love the choice of woods they seem to just flow to gether and draw your attention to the design of the cue it does have a eric crisp look but none the less it a beutiful cue IMO.

You should apologize!

You must be kidding!!!To say anything other than positive about this man's work is horrible.Who's idea was this cue?I have not seen another one like it on the forum unless your just talking about the technique of the scallops on the handle.Richard Black has a cue with that same type of scallops on the bottom of his cue that Cornerstone is selling. That to me is just a little selfish to say other cuemakers can't use certain design patterns. With no patent its a open market. Can only one cuemaker use a ivory joint,or ebony,or birdeye maple.C'mon, you yourself as one of the best cuemakers on the planet should be able to see beyond your arm and appreciate something nice like this. Most of your cues have scallops and look great ,but I think if other cuemakers use scallops it wouldn't mean they have no dignity and no creative ability. You've obviously been caught up in your own hype.Takecare Scott

Hello Eric, again sorry if thats what you feel about me, i know that i am not a perfect human, i will say this again to you, i do have a big respect on you and to your works, no one can follow your steps because you are a unique man when it comes to cuemaking, if the use of the scallop really bothers you, again accept my sincere apology cause i dont want to start any trouble or debate here. That scallop design is not worth dying for. Its clear to me, scallops are for you only. Again sorry for all the inconvenience.

have a nice day to all,
Al

Wow. Not everyone feels this way. You are being a jerk.

Al,

I find it extremely disappointing that you don't pull this cue off the market.

It really makes your apology to Eric seems hollow and even insincere. On the other thread you mentioned "i am willing to replace that and put that cue on the bandsaw" and I'd thought you'd have done same with this cue. Yet I find you bumping your own sale thread.

I own both your cue and Eric's.

Based on your action here, I will never ever buy another cue from you or from secondary market as you have totally lost my respect. I realize my respect for you, my purchasing power or influence on others to follow my example may not be much but I believe you are hurting yourself (and indirectly other Filipino cuemakers) in a long run for a short-sighted gain.

Hello Good Sir Ho,

I apologize if i did not meet your expectation to me, and sorry if i have given you the feeling of disappointment, i'm sad that you loose respect to me, you are entitled to your opinion and i fully respect that sir, But i can assure you that i do have a lot of respect to you sir and it will not change forever. take care and have a nice day sir.

Al-->opinion from the bottom of my heart..

Al, you do amazing work! Do not change a thing and continue making the same stunning cues as always. There is no reason at all you both cannot make superb cues, respect each others talent and the beautiful work of each other. Let's just all get along.

I would like to say that is a nice cue and voice my opinion on some of the post.I have never had any dealings with either cue maker so my opinion is not jaded.
At some point and time someone was the first to do a fullsplice, someone was the first to add inlays and somone was the first to add a steel joint,All those things have been copied from the first person to do it.If things were not copied we wouldn`t have the cues we have today(good or bad).I can see if someone is making a exact copy of a cue and trying to pass it of as a original but to say that a design or technique is only mine to use(unless it is copywrighted, patented)is crazy.
Look at Gus,George and Burton, how many ideas of theirs have been copied by other cue makers.
I`m not trying to start an arguement or get flamed but just give my honest opinion.
Unless you get a patent your work is subject to be copied/modified and theres nothing you can do about it but take it as a compliment because you must have done something unique and good for it to be copied.JMHO
