FS: G. Szamboti?

Kevin,

If dogsplayingpool's link doesn't give you what you want, I can send my scan of the Joss brochure. Just let me know. In the meantime, I'll send the Josswest (hopefully tonight).

Thanks but the link does it all for me (now I just have to remember to use it).

Thanks again

Kevin

W1ngz;

I do believe you came to the right place.

These guys appear to be getting you sorted out pretty good.

GL with your sale.

Best,

Great stuff. Thanks. love that early Hercek, I'd never seen that.

I notice you don't have a Spain or Tad. I have those lying around somewhere. let me know if they would be of use to you.

Kevin

I have some good Spain stuff.. The Tad I am looking for is not the one that is in the B.E. but there was an earlier one. Like the year he started, I have only seen it on the back of a very old tournament program and it wasn't color.

We should do a brochure request thread. I'll start one tonight.

I've seen a cue with this butt from Joss. Was yours plastic? This one is (I think) as was the one I saw from Joss West. Really a unique use of material.

Kevin

I believe the material in the butt cap was delrin which could qualify for a type of "plastic".

I think the cue is a 1964-68 Joss and the case is well used and abused Ostrich print, embossed leather Fellini. I doubt you will get more than $1000 for the cue and case. Ron

Interested in Cue

Ok, I'm going to believe that it is a Joss cue. Because of that design.

Nice old cue. Looks made by Bill Stroud, likely when he and Danny were still together. Possibly a replaced buttcap.

I like the cue and am interested in buying. Please send me a pm when you decide the selling price.

Thanks.

I'll take the over please.

Thanks

Oh. Wow.

Ha...... I shouldn't be allowed to be in control of selling this. I don't know enough about any of it.

That ibuycues character is a pretty solid buyer. I've sold him a couple of items and he's great to deal with.

Kevin

Interesting old Stroud. Shame about the cracked ivory ring in the butt. Love the birdseye forearm! There seems to be a lack of symmetry in the buttsleeve which makes me think the back end has been reworked to some extent. The collars are classic 70's Joss/Joss West. 3 original shafts (with ivory ferrules, although 1 in cracked) helps your sale as well.

This cue, once purchased, should be sent back to Bill for a complete rebuild to bring top dollar. Sadly, right now, it's in rough shape.

Is there any wobble when rolled? If it rolls straight, I'd be a potential buyer... make me an offer without the case.

At first glance it looked like a Gina copy to me (butt section), but the rings I would have to say are Stroud's work. Have to agree with Kevin.

This is a FAR CRY from a Gus. Whoever told you that was taking you for a dope dude and has no clue what a Gus looks like.

I don't know anything about it :( It's not my area.

Here is the story I have.

Dad pawned it, pawn shop owner had it redone by Joss after 6 months of holding it for my dad, then my dad got it back. And now I have it.

Why don't you sell it to him as a Szam.:thumbup:
I think like all the other guys on here it is a early Joss west (Bill Strout)
and definitely NOT:o a szam
i hope we could help you and welcome to the board sir :D:rolleyes::angel::clapping::welcome::yeah
best wishes to you and happy 4th
Chris

Interested in Cue...

Did anyone here ever buy this cue? Danny said it was one of his....

I remain interested in this cue and have sent PMs expressing my interest. I would like to hear from the seller.
