Derby

This cue could NOT have been made by Jerry "SW" Franklin cause it says 2005 on it. He passed away in 1996. Could have been made by Laurie at Southwest but NOT Jerry.

it's not made by either...not a SW maybe sherm knows who, there was a guy who weas making "Derby" cues down in Cinnci area for a while..pretty the origianl poster knows it's not a SW . I don't see it being worth much, imo

It has the look of some cues that Sherm made/had some time back, but don't hold me to that.

One thing for sure...it was NOT made by Southwest cues in any manner, or at any time, either before or after Jerry's passing.

Are we sure???

If it was, this would be the most valuable cue in the world!!!!!

It is labeled as a commemorative cue to celebrate Jerry Franklin's life, so it could be made by any cuemaker or anybody for that matter who was given permission to make a 2005 derby city cue. But I doubt it is a SW.

Maybe a George B or a Gus S.?:p

Glad to see this cue listed here, instead of on Ebay as an unknown cue - we have had enough of those posts this past week.

Jow - Sherm already declared it wasn't one of his Derby City cues, so who knows.

Just looking over the pictures again I noticed that the butt is not a Southwest butt. You are right if this was a real SW it would be crazy.

I believe the cue was made by Lee Malakoff of Brianna Products.
It's basically a Lucasi that he had a girl do some art-work on.
I'm surprised you haven't found his name on it claiming it to be a 1/1.
Seriously, you don't recognize the Lucasi ring-work?

Not sure who made it and i have had it posted for a long time in the derby section, if anyone needs additional pictures to help there decision on buying or just figuring out who made it then just pm me and i take some.
