Fu***** smoking a$$ pool halls

Not sure why anyone thinks it is a problem for a smoker to step outside to smoke.

Heck, when I gotta take a dump, I walk to the bathroom rather than doing it in a bucket next to the table. I've yet to complain about the 30 foot walk yet, but so help me, I might !!

That's the analogy I've been searching for! Well said. Mind if I use it?

There's been a proposed smoking ban in Augusta, GA for a while now. The latest proposed ordinance as reported:

A tougher proposed smoking ban in Augusta, Georgia, is slated to return to the Augusta Commission after a committee voted to do so without a recommendation, according to The Augusta Chronicle.

The newly altered ordinance doesn't affect electronic cigarettes, which is good news for vapers who love getting their nicotine fixes without the use of tobacco. Instead, the new ban would focus on prohibiting cigarette smoking in vehicles with children who are under 14, and would allow smoking on city property if it's leased or rented - but not inside the buildings.

Smokers who are fed up with having to deal with smoking bans should consider making the switch to electronic cigarettes. Because these devices use a liquid nicotine solution instead of tobacco, they're not regulated like cigarettes, which means they can be used in a variety of places where cigarettes aren't allowed.

Additionally, e-cigs don't have the tar, chemicals and smoke associated with traditional cigarettes, so vapers don't have to feel guilty about indulging - even around other people. In fact, the vapor that is exhaled from smokeless cigarettes is completely unscented, so vaping is never a bother.

Interesting word: "Vaping"...

I love playing pool and I will continue to play but I really hope Florida does away with smoking inside. Someone once opened a non smoking pool hall but it didn't last because all the rest were still smoking, it has to be all or none. Hopefully all one day, I to have already battled cancer and I do not want to have to do it again so I can continue to play pool at a pool hall.

If there are enough non-smokers to support a non-smoking establishment, then why weren't there any non-smoking pool rooms before legislation made them mandatory?

Probably because the majority of the clientele wanted to be able to smoke.

And then a thin nasal cry rang from all throughout the land, as every sissy in America cried at the same time, "B-b-but it STINKS! EWWW!"

To think, this is the country where our great grandfathers had to kill a grizzly bear and crawl inside him to keep from freezing....And now people are actually in favor of enacting MORE government restrictions instead of opening up their own smoke-free room, which would have made everyone happy.

That would have been perfect for all, because you know how badly you hate the smell of cig smoke? That's how much I hate hearing you guys whine about it.

I think a lot more people would play around here if they knew they wouldn't smell like shit afterwards (even after 5 minutes of being in there). There are a few new bars around that are smoke free and they are slammed daily. Most people I know won't go into any pool hall because they know how bad the smoke is in there.

I am a smoker. I like the fact that here in Colorado we have non smoking bars and pool rooms. It cuts down on the amount I smoke because I have to stop what I'm doing and go outside. I also do not smoke inside my home. I go outside. Smoke just makes a home nasty.

The Governor of Texas is a Dumb A - hole so we will never be smoke free as long as he eas anthing to do with it, but it would be nice.

In Houston Pool halls in some zip codes dont allow smoking, but the ones in the out laying areas do and is a big diff when you are playing for long periods of time

Come on down to Corpus Christi sometime and experience Paradise
Pool and Billiards. One of the classiest rooms I have ever seen, and
the little white penis puffers have to stay in the outside bar area.
