I amazes me what a cheapskate I am when it comes to targets. I'm firing ammo that costs no less than 75 cents a round, but a quarter for a target? This one's still got some life in it!

Now I just use grocery store paper bags and post-its.
I use painter's tape and cover the holes previously made and re-use the target. You can do this several times, depending on the amount of ammo your firearm will hold. Saves a good amount of money.

For low buck targets, I use ice cubes. Cost next to nothing, challenging and the best part, zero clean up.

Back in the day when shopping malls had record stores, outside a Sam Goody there was this stack of a few hundred album sized, heavy stock promo posters with a sign that said FREE. I was looking through the usual rock, metal, country offerings when I found about 50 Christmas album posters with a cartoon image of Rosie O'Donnell wearing a Santa hat. I went in and asked the clerk how many could I have. He replied, "That depends, which ones?" I told him and he said,"Take them all. You'll be doing everybody a favor."

Targets. That bitch was good for something.
