Had the Secret Pocket Pen, Vibrating Shocker, Sea Monkeys and Silent Dog Whistle, but not from mail order!
Radio pen was marketed as Get Smart item. Sea Monkeys were in a microscope set. Dog whistle came with a hunting hat. Not sure where the vibrating shocker came from.

We had one of those in a Dodge dart (71?) and .that still freaks ME out!
Told it before, butt:
One of my first cars was a 69 mustang...wasn't particularly pretty or original.
I couldn't find 3/4th gears for about a week after I got it and then found out it was 1/2nd that I wasn't finding. I had only been using 3/4th and it was a whole different horse from that day on.
Doing 120 MPH and still looking for more.
push down, then right and pull back,(for those that don't know)....
I remember the term "Slammin' 2nd" Lotsa fun!3 on the tree
Made both my kids learn a stick, or no license. They complained at the time, have thanked me since.

A friend of mine had a bug, I'm sure if you are used to it it's not bad, but the reverse lockout was tricky. And those goofy seatbelt latches were pretty tricky, too.
Yeah I knew and still couldn't make it happen.
Was a little tricky and took a bit of practice. you had to push down just right or you couldn't go right. Next to impossible for someone not used to it.
Especially if it was an older Chevy truck with a worn shift tube. I had a few of them over the years, and if you didn't develop the right "feel" for shifting from second to third it would jam and you would need to get out and pry the shift levers back into position where the steering column came through the firewall. Ah, the good old days. lol
Mostly for chuckles I put my corvette in front of my service station with a for sale sign on it. A guy stopped, talked a bit, wanted to test drive it. He was wearing a decent suit, might be able to afford it, so I agreed. I was riding shotgun of course.
He pulled out onto the four lane and commented it was running a little rough, needed a tune up. I held my peace. He shifted into the next gear, then tried to move the shifter up and right to find third gear. After a struggle he said, "I can't find third gear."
"You found third just fine, you took off in it." That for telling me my car needed a tune-up!
